Do you smoke?

What do you spend per year on tobacco or other?

sperbonzo 06-26-2012 08:37 AM

Cigars only..... probably about $1,500 a year.

.

Brujah 06-26-2012 08:40 AM

sperbonzo, you don't inhale then, is that correct?

Evil Chris 06-26-2012 08:44 AM

I haven't smoked in over 6 years.

A pack-a-day habit is pretty damn expensive.

Choopa_Pardo 06-26-2012 08:46 AM

I like one every now and then. anywhere from 0-5 cigarettes per week.

The larger side of the scale when work is stressful. I don't buy packs, I get a package of Drum loose rolling tobacco and do one up as needed. hand rolling is kind of a pain in the ass too, which helps keeps me from smoking too much.

candyflip 06-26-2012 08:46 AM

I smoke about 1/4 OZ of good buds each week, but I don't pay for it.

Nice to have a few good friends in the growing business :winkwink:

I probably inhale about 1/4 to 1/3 of the smoke, mixed with lots of air. The rest just goes around my mouth and out.

L-Pink 06-26-2012 08:56 AM

I'll smoke a cigar every once in a while, my current g/f smokes about a pack a day plus pot. Doing some quick math she costs me about $5,000 a year.

Scott McD 06-26-2012 08:57 AM

SuckOnThis 06-26-2012 08:59 AM

Doesn't make much of a difference, throat and oral cancer instead of lung.:2 cents:

The two friends I knew who smoked cigars are both dead, one was fit as hell, use to say cigars was his only vice two or three per week couldn't harm him. dead at 42. Maybe he had a genetic predisposition but with tobacco implicated in 80% cases of throat cancers can't help but think it had something to do with it.

Brujah 06-26-2012 09:14 AM

Damn Fish :( I used to smoke 2 packs per day, quit 20 years ago. It's scary.

Andreas 06-26-2012 09:15 AM

0-5 per year

Chosen 06-26-2012 09:19 AM

Spunky 06-26-2012 09:29 AM

EddyTheDog 06-26-2012 09:33 AM

I smoke about 2 packs a day - Thats about $8516.50US a year.

anexsia 06-26-2012 09:40 AM

Just did the math....so with a pack a day, I spend about $1,176 a year on cigarettes.

Vjo 06-26-2012 09:55 AM

DWB 06-26-2012 09:56 AM

teennutsuckers 06-26-2012 10:03 AM

michael.kickass 06-26-2012 10:06 AM

Only a couple of joints every now and then.

Voodoo 06-26-2012 10:23 AM

I went from 1 to 2 packs a day, roughly 2 years ago to quitting 1.5 years ago.

Tijuana_Tom 06-26-2012 10:33 AM

My whole family smoked but the funny thing is if I inhale the slightest bit of tobacco I get extremely sick.

So every time I tried it I was always horribly scared to ever do it again.

vaso-dialator :)

Really the test should be.. pull off the filter. Still ok? Then not so bad a shit cept it is still a constrictor on your vessels by the nature of tobacco.

Cannabis man. Get with the times. Expand your vessels before it is too late. Many of you are prob being saved by cannabis while you smoke "their" mega corp, full of chemicals, filtered, nasty smelling (leaves are better) SHIT.

Ongoing battle for your vessels :)

Just sayin :) Do whatever. I could care less. Your lungs are full of tar if you reg smoke ciggies. I have been there. They are NOT if you smoke.. :)

Reason? One you spit (hack up) and one you really dont. One builds up. One doesnt.

Not to mention that tobacco has way more tar which is the real build up prob.

DudeRick 06-26-2012 12:07 PM

I quit a 2 1/2 pack a day habbit 16 years ago...

I've never smoked cigarettes, but I've smoked a ton of bud, and smoking anything will mess up your lungs, so these days I usually vape (use a vaporizer)...all kinds of benefits:

? Healthier alternative to smoking

? Stretches your cannabis supply (uses less, more efficient)

? Leftover vape material make good ABV (Already Been Vaped) edibles

As to how much I spend, prolly a bunch...however I don't worry about the cost, since it's about the same that I spent on alcohol before I quit drinking. Besides, I'm hyperactive (and I refuse to take Adderall/Ritalin or other pharma drugs), so cannabis allows me to relax and channel my hyperactivity, which I figure ultimately saves me money, since I am way more productive when I'm not bouncing off the walls.

I really want to get into growing cannabis for my own consumption (it's legal to cultivate in California), but I never have time to do the research to do it right...definitely on my list of things I would eventually like to do though.

Drum? You mean the dutch tobacco? Thats what I am rolling [yellow pack, weakest] my daily splif for 8+ years. :pimp ;)

I don't smoke cig, I find pure cigs disgusting. Mixing with weed makes it OK.

bobby666 06-26-2012 01:09 PM

two packs a day, and when i am drunken - even more

sleazydoesit 06-26-2012 01:31 PM

I quit smoking almost 4 months ago with the help of Chantix. I didn't take the full 12-week recommended course (I did 4 weeks) and I'm still mostly smoke-free but when I do smoke I kind of wish I hadn't quit! lol whoops gotta get back on that wagon

Brujah 06-26-2012 01:34 PM

omg shut up you bunch of pussies, give me the total amount you're spending already.

$5 submissions 06-26-2012 01:36 PM

I haven't smoked in 8 years. Used to buy 1 to 2 packs per day. It can add up quickly. Not to mention the emphysema/lung cancer medical bills after a few years if I didn't stop :(

cashbizdude 06-26-2012 01:59 PM

I quit about a year and a half ago

epitome 06-26-2012 02:12 PM

$4,380 per year. Two of us and we both smoke a pack a day. $6 per pack.

SiMpLe 06-26-2012 02:13 PM

I just got an e-cig to get me off the smokes and it works, haven't had a real cig since Sunday at 8am. The bonus is I'm not a freaking out nut job like when I tried cold turkey. Gum didn't work either. I'm pretty stoked right now and breathing better to just after a couple of days :)

NaughtyRob 06-26-2012 02:14 PM

Cigars only for me too, but probably like $500 per year.

Which kind are you using? The biggest trick is to find a flavor or two that you like, even if you try to go back to smoking it'll taste like shit and you won't like it.

biskoppen 06-26-2012 03:42 PM

How any adult person can smoke is beyond me.. seriously.
