Teams get relegated from the SPL each season, yet survive just fine in the 1st Division. So when people suggest teams will close down simply because of no Rangers, it doesn't make sense. When you get relegated, you get no gate money from Rangers or Celtic.

Besides, if any team DID vote for Rangers to stay in the league, Celtic fans were gonna boycott that teams games anyway, so they wouldn't have been any better off...

Rangers being demoted will not be a good thing for the SPL surely even celtic fans must realize this. I understand they need to be penalized but kicking them out the premium will be a disaster.

They are not being kicked out though because it's Rangers.

They are being kicked out because that's the rules. Rangers, sorry 'The Rangers' shouldn't be any different...

Scott, ya teams that are not on the same level as celtic and rangers go down. The SPL is on it last legs anyhow demoting rangers will be the final nail in the coffin. Guess celtic fans figure this is the only way they have a chance at the title eh??? :)

Never said it was just cause its rangers. It could be any team I don't care. All I'm saying taking rangers or celtic out the spl is not good for scottish soccer. If it was roles reversed I would not want celtic demoted.

Anyhow, whatever we'll go down and come back up and thump your arses as per usual.

I can't wait till they strip Rangers of "their" titles and the rightful team gets awarded them. Should be about 15 in a row for Celtic. :thumbsup

Of course it isn't good for the game. It's a disaster to be honest.

But........... There is no other solution. Rangers have cheated for years, and now it's caught up with them. They are the only ones to blame. And if Scottish football as a whole does suffer because of it, again it's all down to Rangers.

The other teams have done nothing wrong. Even by voting "No" to the Newco...

Well we all know what is gonna happen. So rangers will have to suck it up and come back better and stronger than ever when they come back. I'll do a friendly wager with you and ross when we play yous next :-)
