Paypal and File Lockers
If people can post file lockers which are billing with Paypal and screenshots / urls of payment pages along with a screenshot of anything alluding to illegal content then I would appreciate it.
I have obtained a contact at the Paypal US AUP department who is taking an interest in the matter. |
nothing more easy than that - do your own screenshots:

Here's one. Cloudnator takes Paypal and has porn on their servers.
http://www.cloudnator.com/premium/ Didn't take a screenshot, but here's a forum post that has links to porn on Cloudnator. http://www.intporn.com/forums/xxx-fu...vxfactory.html |
Thanks for the replies people, if you could help me out as I do not have much time at the moment and email me with links, screenshots and paypal checkout screenshots that would be appreciated, I am merely passing these on.

Update: I really need the following in the following format.
1. Screenshot of page linking to illegal material 2. Screenshot of Paypal payment page 3. Site Name and URL If people can email me this in this format to sales at adultking dot co dot uk it will help greatly. I am in direct contact with a senior compliance manager at Paypal and Paypal Media Relations. I have also been briefing a journalist from News Ltd in Australia who is preparing a story as we speak. I only have a few more hours to get this information to all concerned. |
A screen cap of illegal material - depending on if you mean illegal by copyright or illegal due to content of the material - would be tricky. If you mean content - it wouldn't even be legal for a GFYer to screen cap.
Plus, the files are ZIPs, so not really anything to see. Can't prove whats in there by screencap. Good effort but not sure screen cap is way to go. PayPal should not depend on you to test files for legality (by laws) or legality within their own rules. Puts you in a risky position. |

I have prepared an article to provide to Journalists.
http://coldcopy.com.au Comments would be appreciated as I refine this. |

Quote yourself stating when an opinion or making a judgement such as "despite contacting Paypal on numerous phone numbers, Paypal have thus far declined to act on this matter. In fact, contacting anyone at Paypal is almost impossible." Otherwise the journalist would be claiming they contacted PayPal. The release should quote you talking smack about PayPal. Here's an example of a press release I wrote, with assistance from people who know how. Notice how I'm quoted when I express an opinion or judgement: http://business.avn.com/company-news...ng-478546.html |
Bump .......

Paypal = Ebay
I think we need a good Lawer to fight against these people who destroy our business. Lets talk about this in Praha how to organise.

I have added more to http://coldcopy.com.au thanks to several GFY members who have provided screenshots.
Please share the link far and wide, let's really make this an issue and maybe we can threaten the very existence of file lockers, at least prevent payment processors from dealing with them. As DWB rightly points out, cut their income and there's no incentive. |

Ah, I've had my first death threat in badly translated Russian English. This is going to be fun!

I would appreciate it if people could re-tweet the @coldcopy tweets for more exposure. We can win this battle. |

btw, feel free to add http://www.google.com/ to the list of providers where you can find piracy content in massive amounts. |
Bump for filelockers and CP in the news!
|
I have set up a backup site which can be located at http://hotcopy.com.au
The original site http://coldcopy.com.au remains the primary site. |
I've redesigned the site http://coldcopy.com.au to make it a little easier to read and see screenshots.
Although I have started targeting Paypal it wont end there. I wont give too much away here as unfriendly people have been linking to these threads on other forums. |
Use a sharing plugin in that site, and let's all in GFY recommend those posts in facebook, twitter, digg, etc, etc...
Will go viral like crazy! |

There's also a Facebook page you can like from the site. http://coldcopy.com.au is down due to a DDOS at the moment but the backup site http://hotcopy.com.au is up. |
AdultKing. Are they looking to only terminate the ones with CP or are they willing to do the ones that are flat out pirates?

The very first step of the campaign is to raise awareness of the CP issue on file lockers and force Paypal to stop processing for them. File lockers which reward uploaders and encourage the sharing of copyright material, illegal pornography and pirate software all need to be shut down and I believe it's possible to do. As DWB has rightly pointed out, cut off the money and the incentive goes away. But we need to take baby steps and target very specific issues one at a time. Raising public awareness of the scurge of these sites is the start. I am totally committed to killing off file lockers that profit from illegally uploaded material and unlike torrents it's entirely possible to kill off file lockers. However this has to be a shared effort. |
I sent a good number of DMCA's yesterday and most of the file lockers have Paypal on them. I would be happy to screen cap them and either hang onto them or send them to paypal. Just let me know how I can help.
My time is limited because I am actually really busy, but I would do what I can. Thanks for the reply here. |
Are those DMCA's in digital format ?
One think I thought of doing was to create a section on the website which categorizes DMCA notices and have them searchable. |

I can copy and past them anyplace any time. Or set them up some how. |
I think DMCA archive is a bit premature idea at this point in time as people do not care about stolen porn or any other stolen content that much (if at all, the general crowd is feebie loving and pro-piracy). The best strategy for the moment IMHO will be as following:
|
Great input. I agree a DMCA archive is premature, but could be considered longer term.
I'm going to set up a feedburner feed for the sites once I mitigate the current attacks. I no longer think it's necessary to set up lots of blogs, I think the key is to work out a way to keep the sites up in the face of attacks, I am working on a solution now. I also agree the focus should be on the shocking stuff, this is our best bet to cut off payment processing for file lockers. Without payment processing then the stolen porn problem will reduce of it's own accord. There will no longer be paid incentive to upload it. Please keep the suggestions coming, I am working very hard on this and intend to keep this up until we make a massive impact on file lockers. Anyone who wants to make suggestions to me via ICQ if you don't want them in the public domain then please feel free to contact me on 1905 1100. We have to remember the file locker community are monitoring GFY. |
Someone could call Paypal, as a reporter referencing your page. Let them know you're working on an expose tying them the illegal Child Porn trade. See if that gets some wheels spinning.

They are currently hiding behind voicemail after promising to act, it's obvious there's alot of money at stake here. |
While I agree that its early in the game for an archive I think the sheer volume that each site gets hit with would be a shock as well.
I sent 28 to one site alone so I think the staggering numbers by people adding in info would have an effect. |
|
instead of wasting your time with this crap of an idea, why not PAY a creative programmer to find a solution to your issue. protecting your content is not that hard PERIOD....and the content you already pumped out into the net is already OLD. stop trying to squeeze a penny out of a rock
