New Rule-Emails----CHANGE THE SUBJECT LINE

Make the world easier and more organized.

Change the subject line on every email so the subject line actually connects to what the email is about.

For instance invoices.. Subject lines should read which company invoice is too. "Invoice from xxxx for xxxx"

if you sending links--write on subject line " Links from xxxxx for xxx campaign"

90% of the time the subject lines have nothing to do with whats in email from so many replies and fwds.

SO much time is wasted because we all have to do double and triple work and it can all be resolved by everyone taking 5 seconds and changing the subject line.

Couldn't agree more. Can't tell you how many emails get filtered to the scrap heap because people don't even populate the subject field - a blank is spam in my book.

:D

This is something that very much annoys me to no extent. I got an email the other day from someone that was almost a paragraph in the subject line! Someone asking me questions but I couldn't read what it was since gmail cut off the part of the subject.

On the flip side, a huge pet peeve of mine is when someone writes something like "call me" in the subject with nothing in the body. I get these from time to time, but just can't fathom the ignorance some people have when it comes to communication

It's basic internet courtesy.

The only thing worse than this is people who send gigantic walls of text with no line breaks lol.
