yup Stargazer Lilly's always go down well. I sent them to my grandmother for a big birthday and farmed out the buds to everyone she knows. They grab attention.

Of course, you could just make sure she feels loved everyday and then Valentine's day doesn't become such a pressure.

I love lillies and tulips too, lots of them.. roses are boring.

I'm a simple girl, I' like simple stuff.

Make dinner. Nothing major, just maybe a baked potato and a grilled steak or chicken.

Rent a cool movie. (And personally, I think chick-flicks suck. can we rent "Fall of the House of Usher" or "The Pit and the Pendulum"? I like Vincent Price/Poe)

Forget the champagne. Go for sparkling cider. Yum yum.

If she's into shiney trinkets, get a nice tennis bracelet, not big, but still pretty. The one that I wanted is actually at WalMart for $40. Rubies and 14k gold.

Make slow love until she's begging you for something harder and faster. (In my case, that takes about...five minutes. I bore easily)

And for fuck's sake, if nothing else, get her a nice teddy bear and a small box of candy with a single red rose. If she likes the traditional route, anyway, she'll like it. No candy for me, though, but I like the single rose and the teddy bear. (and no, the ugly goddamn gorilla that sings whatever stupid song does NOT count.)

(Try this, too, if you think red roses are too cliche...a "Melody" rose is my personal favorite, it's a peach rose with red tips. It's beautiful and smells soft and sweet. Love 'em!)

Well, the gift i gave to a certain somebody was a little different. Her mother gave her this pendant shaped like an A (her first name starts with A). Anwaysy, her mother died a few years ago. I drew her a big picture of the A, the way the pendant is (Where the A crosses, it's like a shooting star).

Corny, yes, but i gave it to her early, and she loved it.

My first real girlfriend, back in High School, got quite a shock when she saw what I got her for Valentine's Day.

The night before, I stopped into a sex shop that had a wide assortment of sex toys. I figured, I couldn't go wrong.

I was never in one of these places and was a little weirded out. I just grabbed one of the first vibrators I saw and proceeded to the counter to pay.
