Did CCbill get sold recently ?

Whats the deal?

No they didn't get sold, they just sold out.

The funny thing is, everyone here feared that if Manwin bought CCBill this is precisely the sort of thing that would happen.

Turns out they didn't need Fabian to guide them through the gates of hell.

Sure seems like it.

MrDeiz 06-14-2012 10:16 AM

it makes sense

BareBacked 06-14-2012 10:37 AM

just to clarify. I was in no way shape or form implying that Manwin would have anything to do with what is going on recently with CCBill

+1 for sold out

I'm implementing an exit strategy now to get away from being a pay site affiliate due to what I am seeing from CCBill lately. I don't see why any sponsor would start new sites with CCBill when they are encouraging the pirating of your content. I sure as hell wouldn't be too enthused to pay 15% of all my transactions to an entity which supports others who are destroying my business.

Oh well at least current pay sites and affiliates now have some time to start moving away from CCBill to more ethical processors without having to experience a sudden loss. That's better than what would happen if they folded or were suddenly bought out by a bad entity. Switchover now to start minimizing your rebills with them. Once something like this happens you can probably guess what is next.

If they are smart, even if they sold, you may not know for a long time.

That's actually a very good point and it would explain alot too.

I think maybe I spoke too soon earlier in this thread :(
