Which EU Shows are You Attending in the Fall?

The show hiatus is almost over, and the EU Fall shows are right around the corner. Which one(s) are you planning to attend this year?

Roald 06-13-2012 11:37 AM

Think it will be just Amsterdam for me. Not sure yet, maybe Prague too though

Klen 06-13-2012 11:43 AM

I'l be in Prague as usual.

baddog 06-13-2012 11:46 AM

Undecided

VladS 06-13-2012 12:01 PM

Hi Jenni - heading to Montreal in August, then likely London, Prague and A'dam...

Doug of Montreal 06-13-2012 12:33 PM

Why is Octoberfest a show?!?! It makes me think I should be attending... but I know better! (I think)

I'll be at the big three, taking extra time in London and Prague to actually see some of the scenery this time around. And Jenni--you should be coming up for Montreal!

@Baddog...forget the undecided. DECIDE, MAN! Be decisive!

SiMpLe 06-13-2012 03:29 PM

Guess I'm the only one so far that picked Octoberfest

Oktoberfest is for tossers and shape shaggers, its called BeerFest!!

Mefo 06-14-2012 12:17 AM

Most likely Amsterdam only, doing 3 in a row last year was kinda stupid since it's more or less the same group of people moving around.

Hi Billy,

Unfortunately the show hotel is sold out since various months by now (We sold it out within the first 48 hours after announcing it). But we managed to arrange an overflow hotel 5 minutes away from the show hotel, which can be booked via the following link:

https://secure.netbooking.cz/diplomat/dyn/PragueEuropeanSummit2012.html

Sorry about the inconvenience!

See you in Prague!

Kindest regards,
Andreas

I booked Silenzio... really liked the place and they even put the two beds together in the suite so it's almost like you have a grown-up bed!

The downside from not being in the show hotel is that I wont be able to roll in my bed after a few drinks ;))

However since the show hotel is like far away from everything this might be a good option. Oh and as a dutchie I reall like their room rates (Room price for 4 nights: € 294.00)

Hm....

Doug of Montreal 06-15-2012 11:33 AM

It's not that far of a stumble--and it's all downhill at night. ;) I'm always about the "show hotel" but as you say, price is more than right. Just make sure to stock up on food cuz getting food there at 3am is not the easiest!

Klen 06-15-2012 11:43 AM

I dont see so important being in event hotel since not all events are in hotel.

Doug of Montreal 06-15-2012 11:56 AM

I do believe all the seminars are... :)

Hotel Praha is not sold out. They offered 3 room to me today for 1043 USD per room per night.

Gotta love supply and demand..

Hope Diplomat has good bar

If you haven't been to Prague before, everything is pretty close, cab ride wise, and if you are accustomed to paying with USD or EUR, your money goes a bit further since the currency is still CZ Crowns, so no matter where you stay, things are still relatively close compared to say, Vegas, and cab rides are cheaper than AMS.

TES put me in a nice bed and breakfast inn, not on the overflow list, and way off the beaten path (cab drivers were getting lost:1orglaugh) but it was still under $10 USD to get up to the show hotel.

Since the evening events are held offsite, sometimes it was cheaper for me to get back to my hotel than it was for the folks up at the show hotel. So don't feel like you're getting anything less by being in an overflow hotel. I was very happy with my lodgings, it was more intimate, and quaint compared to the big show hotel, so I got the best of both worlds, fun and excitement at the show, peace and quiet in my inn.

This show is worth coming to, no matter where you stay! :2 cents:

Hm....

i stayed there last year and just booked it again. the rooms are absolutely fine for the price, better than many other hotels where i paid 2 or 3 times more. and the walk to the show hotel is only a little inconvenient in the morning when you're crawling up the hill :1orglaugh

I wanted to go to that show,i even had chance to get free ticket, but irony is even Vienna is closer to me then Prague(and that making bus ticket cheaper)it still cost more then Prague show due more expensive food, metro tickets, hotel and everything else.

if you have a free ticket, the EWT shows are not that expensive: more free drinks during day and parties, free food at shows and Vienna is far less expensive than I would have thought, a lot cheaper than Barcelona

for ?7-9 you get a main dish that will last you a day :)

of course Prague is still cheaper, but I'm sure Vienna is cheaper than Amsterdam and Barcelona

that said already orderred the ?20 burger at Kobe in Prague, which is worth the money :winkwink:

Hi LatinaCrazy,

Trust me - the hotel is sold out. We had the same issue last year. For whatever (contractual) reason the Hotel Praha cannot take their room contingent out of pages such as booking.com, etc. But if you actually book, what will happen is, that you arrive the day of the show at the hotel, and they will tell you that unfortunately they did an overbooking, and they will offer you to put you into a different 5 star hotel - on the very other side of Prague. Trust me, I know what I am speaking about, it happened various times last year. Please do yourself a favour and do not book a room at the Praha via any reseller (bookings.com, etc.) - unless you want to end up on the other side of Prague :)

Kindest regards,
Andreas
