Hey guys!

I was wondering if any Canadian webmasters had come up with any ingenious ways to get instant (or at least faster) access to your PayPal funds, since paypal has cancelled all debit/credit card services to Canadian webmasters?

This has been a major sore spot for me, since now I must withdraw funds to a business or personal bank account - which takes 5-7 business days - and then upload them to another prepaid card - taking another 3-5 business days - just so that I can use these funds to pay other online bills ... The entire process taking usually just shy of 2 weeks! :Oh crap

I have voiced my displeasure over the phone with PayPal CS managers on a half dozen occasions now, as well as posted in the Canadian PayPal Forums ... as I am frustrated beyond belief that PayPal could leave us Canadian clients hanging out to dry -- especially as many of us have been with PayPal since the beginning, and have helped them build the business they now have ...

I have moved hundreds of thousands of dollars between all of my businesses thru PayPal, and to this day a good 70-80% of my income arrives via PayPal ... (web hosting and selling adspace on 27 mainstream blogs ...)

The best response I was able to get from PayPal, is that they are "in the development stages of some new products for Canadian clients" - whatever that is supposed to mean?!? :Oh crap

I would love to hear from other Canadians who have been impacted by this clusterfuck, and what you have done to help gain access to your PayPal funds ...

Why don't you get american address and open US based paypal? Then you could use your american paypal debit on canadian ATM's :)

p.s. It's just an idea, not sure if that would work 100%

paypal for me only usually takes 2-3 days max to hit my account. I usually Just trade for paxum and use their card.

- Use a real credit card
- Pay card 30 days later with funds transfered to your bank account

CIBC do bank account with a credit card linked to that account. So no need to use a pre-paid system etc... The balance in your account is your limit.

But this card seem to be limited to online shopping...

I have a US bank account, transfer to there and either write myself a check when I want some funds or use the bank card.

Yep, just go to the States and open an account there to transfer your Paypal to, then write yourself a cheque when you need some cash.

Definitely seems there has to be another solution - my funds get to me much quicker - why the extra step to a prepaid card?

Your bank should have some sort of global payment card... basically a debit card hooked up to your bank account with a credit card number on it.

Paypal withdrawls usually only take 2-3 days for me..

And how will ez-coins help me to get my cash physically in my hands and sooner, or pay online invoices that require visa/mastercard ??? :Oh crap
