Google SERPs question..

I have a few blogs that for some reason are 3/4 on a bunch of related key words.

They are on .com and they are in English but they only have the high numbers on weird countries. I rank great in Thailand for a massive KW, but nobody in Thailand would search for it...

If I could get that KW on google.com I could retire, seriously.

How do I 'fix' it?

I have tried everything. Google obviously likes the sites but seems to be a bit confused about where they belong.

I am working on good .com backlinks ATM, thats all I can think of.

You can specify your website's target geographic location in Google Webmaster Tools

I have seen that, but then I worry that I will just kill the little traffic I get.

Maybe I should just do it, the stuff I get is pretty much worthless. It might just be enough to get me into the cash spots.

are u working from Thailand ?

Slappin Fish 06-10-2012 04:53 AM

Google does what it wants to do, gets more unpredictable by the day, I rank for a massive keyword in Argentina not neighboring Chile, Mexico or other Spanish countries which would make sense, only Argentina. oh and the site is in English.

BIGTYMER 06-10-2012 04:54 AM

Google sucks.

No, I am in the UK.

I only used that as an example - I also have great results in Brazil and the Middle East.

They are on a US host, .com and in English.

They are all on a small network of blogs that I set up about 6 months ago.

Google obvisly doesn't like the sites that's why they rank in shitty countires. my site has been penalized by Google but it still ranks in shitty countries.

So when they don't like you they put you in irrelevant countries results just to piss you off?

There must be more to it than that.

That's strange, usually your sites rank higher for a country that you live in if you are connecting normal way, the us host allows you faster loading for the people in USA, care to try on one of your domains cloudflare, it might be some bot traffic or some other shit, the cloudflare will prevent that and you can than analyze your traffic with GA or whatever are u using

TheSwed 06-10-2012 06:10 AM

that you rank high in Thailand has a explanation. It lives a lot of foreigner here and thai government also block all bigger porn sites. Porn is illegal and no porn sites in thai languages.
so they have no choice other then visit you site
:)
