Anyone here shot with the Sony NEX-VG20?

Was thinking of getting this camera... anyone used it? Does it hold it's focus good when shooting? Any other issues?

Any samples online of it being used in adult? Seen plenty of samples of flowers, waterfalls and rain puddles, but want to know how it works in our world.

I have been shooting weddings and we use one of these as a secondary camera. It is my partner's.

As long as you're using one of the Sony e-Mount lenses, the focus capabilities are nice. It's much easier than shooting with a DSLR, but the image isn't quite as nice.

Any lens recommendations for that camera? How well does it do in lower light? I have been looking at the same one.. Anyone have experience with it or comparable?

What's your primary?

We both have a Sony FS100 to use a primary. Then a 60D, 5Dmk2 and the VG20.

The Sony kit lens is nice on the VG20. We also have a few adaptors that take Canon lenses.

It does quite well with low light, but not quite as well as the FS100.

There's a bunch of low light sample video for the VG20 on Vimeo.

we use it, it's pretty good as far as i can say since i am not the one using it.

BUT: Originally we bought it for reality outdoor stuff and for that it doesnt work well. Mostly because the autofocus is too slow.

for that we now use a Sony HDR CX730 which has a great picture quality for such a small camera, a fast autofocus and a GREAT image stabilizer
