Yes, Go puppy!

For those of you that remember my problem with my puppy I have a great update. I was setting here on the computer and the puppy started barking at the door, I let her out and she finally did what she had to do outside.
Who ever it was that posted about rewarding my puppy when It went outside I thank you.
I now it may sound really stupid but I have been trying for 3 weeks and I am really happy now that she is learning. I am opening a bottle of wine.:glugglug

Dawgy 02-12-2003 11:26 AM

When I move out of my current place, I think I'll get a chihuahua

Mutt 02-12-2003 11:30 AM

congrats kenny. hang in there with the dog.

kenny 02-12-2003 11:37 AM

I am so pleased with the puppy I gave her all the fried chicken I had in my fridge. I hate chicken anyways, but the puppy is having a field day with it.:)

DarkJedi 02-12-2003 11:37 AM

you should have shot him anyway

:2 cents:

kenny 02-12-2003 11:41 AM

Would it be a bad thing if I gave her wine? Will dogs get drunk?

Shouldn't feed your puppy people food, it's not good for her. If you want to give her treats, buy the real thing.

And yes she'll get drunk. Don't give a puppy wine.

*gives Sly a shot of Whiskey*

Good Boy!

I have gave her nothing but people food. The first food I gave her was a hamburger...

Phoenix 02-12-2003 11:49 AM

hmm... ithink you could feed it people food if you were careful...i know a family that fed their dogs rice and vegetables, and only sometimes pieces of meat, and they were healthy andlived to be quite old....good stuf with the dog kenny...once he is fully trained...im sure it will quickly become like your best friend

Mutt 02-12-2003 11:55 AM

kenny are you putting us on?

human food ain't gonna kill a dog, vets always tell you that, mine told me that the food I was buying my dog was the equivalent of McDonald's and it would be bad, my dog's 13 now, didn't hurt her.

but feeding her a steady diet of hamburgers and fried chicken i don't think is good, i'm sure he is loving it though. It's also expensive for you, the dog is going to grow - you want a $5 to $10 a day bill for feeding your dog. You're creating problems for yourself, when you try to get the dog to go to dry dog food after living on burgers and fried chicken he's going to reject the boring dry dogfood.

My puppy goes nuts over his treats!!
He scratches the front door and waits for one of us to take him out, comes in and goes nuts for these little marrow bones LOL

P.S When she has made a little mistake in the house make sure you punish her. Take her outside RIGHT AWAY and when she does her business reward her and praise her * OH GOOD GIRL*
Sound very excited *let her know that you're VERY happy*

Good luck :)

stanton 02-12-2003 07:09 PM

why I never get a treat when i go take a piss?

KrazieSweets 02-12-2003 07:12 PM

I don't think it's a smart move giving her nothing but ppl food :2 cents:
Animals just liek ppl need a proper diet to live happy and healthy lives.
I'm not saying don't *treat* her to ppl food once in a while, but you should be feeding her puppy food. Mickey D's isn't going to help her teeth and bones etc...

But thats just my :2 cents:

asuna 02-12-2003 07:13 PM

I wish *I* got a treat everytime I DIDNT shit on the floor

If I can live off of it surely my puppy can. Now you want me to take better care of the dog then I do myself:winkwink:

drunkdollars 02-12-2003 07:18 PM
