What a storm in Denver last night! CO Springs had a foot of hail!

I was in Castle Rock south of Denver. Storm started about 6PM and ended close to 2AM. Perry Park had 8 inches of hail and they had snow plows out to clear the roads! Castle Rock had about 3 inches of hail and SW Denver (Littleton, Englewood, etc.) 2-3 inches of hail. Lightning was off the charts. To the South, parts of CO Springs had a foot of hail accumulate. I honestly don't understand why people live in places like this. Don't tell me "it's beautiful here". Fuck that. It's beautiful here too. Just on the outskirts of town we have hills and trees and rivers, just no fucking snow.

This type of storm is very unusual for the area. Most thunderstorms end shortly after the sun sets. It's been like 20+ years since they had a thunderstorm like this.

Woah, that's nuts! I thought this was supposed to be a year of "normal" weather.

Crazy - I lived in Castle Rock for about a year, I liked that area. The first weekend we moved there, which was in October, we had a huge storm. Came quite early.

Castle Rock is a beautiful area. I'm just visiting a friend, do not live here.
