There's one of these people per season/show it seems. Someone you totally don't expect to sound the way they do. He's very impressive. He'll go far.

On a side note, a friend of mine wears contacts like these from time to time. Hard to look at him when they're in. They're so strange. haha

my wife wears black contacts sometimes, makes her eyes look just big and black, it looks hot on asian girls. If the eye thing works for him so be it.

I second the calling BS. Nobody becomes an opera singer without some training and that involves singing in front of at least your teachers. That was also such a joke cartoon of what the most narrow-minded mainstream imbeciles think gothic means or should mean that, well, I assume that guy was acting. None of that guy's style is anything which could not be easily removed for another role.
