Setting up CCBill Wires to a UK Bank

So I've been a CCBill cheque guy since 2007, I really need to move to wires. If you're in the UK and receiving CCBill wires, please let me know of any problems you've had, any recommendations you'd make e.g. which Bank (some charge more/less) etc.

I assume the wire arrives to the UK bank in US Dollars and then gets switched into UK Pounds?

Currently with Santander, I have to wait 7 days for the Dollar cheques to clear and each one costs me 10 quid, so I'm burning at least 60 quid a month (including non-CCBill cheques)

How much does a bank wire cost (fee)? I know some sponsors charge up to $50 fee.

I am not sure uk banks charge a wire fee.

its often best to wire the cash as it takes a day or somthing.

often its the sites that charge. one site i promote wires for free any amount over $100.

i think its only the bank that the money goes from charges, not the bank that collects.

by the way, i found barkeys clears usa checks in 2 days or less - but go to the main branches or it can take 5 days. i do not think they charge to pay checks in. natwest used to charge a fortune and could take up to 6 weeks.

Thanks for this DVTimes, barkeys don't charge, I'm surprised! Thanks for the warning about Natwest

Wire...

I think the CCBill wire is either $25 or $30... I'm taking it you have all your individual sponsors with CCBill rolled into one payment though right ?

I just asked them, it's $30, so it might not be such a good ideas as that's at least $120 per month

I'll need to focus on somewhere that cashes Dollars cheques at lower cost

I think international with CCBill is 30 to 35 and thats not bad. Some banks dont charge an incoming wire fee some do. My bank is 5$ per wire in but 25 out no matter where so it kind of works out for me. On top of the other perks I have.

Thanks for that! It's looking like if I went with wires it would only be worth it if I increased my minimum payout

Hello wehateporn,

I can confirm that each international wire transfer is $30. Along with requesting to set a minimum payout amount, we can also set a minimum time frame for payout as well. This way you can receive a wire once the minimum payout amount is met, and a certain week if you elect to.

I know your post was about wires, but heres a tip.

I'm with Barclays, and they only charge £10 PER BATCH.

So if you put ONE cheque in, it costs you £10
But put in 7, 20, or 100 at the same time... Still just £10 :)

Thank you for letting me know James, seems there's a lot of flexibility, I'll need to have a think about what's best for me

Even if I bring 2 cheques along, it still saves me 10 quid on Santander.

Thanks for that CurrentlySober, I might go and have a chat with them
