Assembly of iPhone in China[VID]
Here's probably the closest look yet at how iPhones are assembled. This is from inside Foxconn?s massive Zhengzhou plant, where 70 percent of iPhones are produced.

One thing about my iPhone I hate is they don't want you taking it apart. After 2 years it was time to change the battery, cost only $20 to do it on my own vs $60-100 to have a 3rd party do it.
I literally had to rip the whole thing apart and then I got to the battery. On the new iPhone 4S they designed it so you have to have a very special tool to remove the battery. Sometimes I'll get something for less if I can access it more easily. I've got a laptop that's still moderately fast but will keep it because I keep the hard drive bay open and swap hard drives out of it like crazy (all linux distros and hard drives designed for different areas of my life). |
dunno why.. but I was reminded of this
