vps comparison, which better for high?traffic wp blogs?
We :D have couple of wp blogs, two of them gets around 20-30k unique's a day, but I'd like to have hosting ready to open much more blogs and wp traffic of around 50-75k. Ofc I'm planning to use cache plugins :)
I've found these two by recommendation (hostv) and quite good experience (amerinoc/phatservers). how vz2 [http://www.hostv.com/vps-server.shtml] compares with AMNOC-MVPS1 [https://www.amerinoc.com/managedvps.php] and are they enough in specs (ram and cpu) to keep those 50-75k wp blogs network running nice and smooth? I'm also open for others hosts if you've got good experience with them, we're speaking about managed vps's :D |
Those sound like some nice traffic blogs. Congrats on your success.
:thumbsup |
i would go with a dedicated over vps
|
if you have blogs with such traffic you must be making enough money to go for dedicated.. so why be cheap? :)
|
not even 1 ? ; ]
CaptainWolfy: cutting costs is important :) |
I'd shell out the extra twenty bucks for the AMNOC-MVPS2. That's AmeriNOC's best VPS deal for price/specs I think.

dedicated server is always better but if you are gonna go VPS I suggest using nginx as a reverse proxy to apache. it will let you squeeze extra performance out of a vps
|
VPS is not good for high traffic sites.
Maybe in a few years, but right now, physical server is much better. |

you should try vps.net since it allows you to scale quicker if needed...

Put in an extra $50 and get a dedicated.
|
i would suggest a dedicated server.

I had a forum with 11000 daily users on HostV vps. Was a bloody nightmare, vps crashed all the time, support kept on demanding upgrade to dedicated.
Movies it to wiredtree vps and life is perfectly fine now |
If you still want a VPS, check my sig for a good price.
