I wrote the Hun a few days ago to inquire about advertising on his site and I just received the following.

TEXT LINK ADVERTISING ON THE HUNS YELLOW PAGES

A top text link sells for $500.00 of if bought in conjunction with a banner spot, $400.00.

The way it works is that you would be the top text link on a given day ( you can select the day ) and you remain at the top of that days page for a year.

Obviously you will receive less hits as you move down the line, but the first few days can be great.

Currently a top text link is generating between 80,000 and 100,000 click thrus in the first couple of days of posting.



With multiple text link purchases, we also sell the 2 to 5 spot and the 6 to 15 spot.

Here is the break down.

IN THE 2 TO 5 SPOT:

3 text links for $1200.00 ( in the 2 to 5 spot )

10 text links for $3000.00. ( in the 2 to 5 spot )


IN THE 6 TO 15 SPOT:

10 text links for $2000.00. ( in the 6 to 15 spot )


TEXT LINK REQUIRMENTS:

A text link must go to a free pics page with at least 12 to 15 free pics on it. No exit consoles, redirects or blind links or blind banners are permitted.

When getting into multiple text links bear in mind that we need a new URL each time so that it doesn?t show up as previously ?clicked on? on peoples browsers and we need a new gallery each time.

Once a link has been approved and posted, no changes can be made to that gallery.

Text link advertising can start anytime.

$1000.00 buys you a horizontal banner in rotation on the Current Month Page. This will expose you to a minimum of 25% of the Hun?s traffic which over the month should get all of his traffic allowing for users coming back every 3 days as per the net average. We also have the ever popular Vertical Banner Spot. A higher traffic generator because of its location and visibility, at $1100.00 a month

You host your own banner.

The advantage of keeping it on your server is that you can change
the banner as often as you like (as long as you keep the name of the banner the same.) Previous users coming in during the month will not see the old banner. It will look new and fresh and receive more activity.

You can also increase your exposure rate by purchasing additional
banner space. Or you can purchase a text link or links on
The Hun, which should give you between 80,000 and 100,000 click thru's in a couple of days

The Hun.net will not accept advertising from sites that promote potentially kiddie porn or advertise other sites that are considered potentially kiddie porn sites.


These sites will be judged solely by ourselves and any picture or wording that insinuates that the site contains underage models will no longer be considered for posting or advertising on the hun.

Old news...he is using these rates for years now and they are worth every penny :winkwink:

But does it work.. will it convert? Anyone with amateur sites have any experience with his banner ad traffic?

Personally I've got to work on my site case it's not ready for that much traffic. 100,000 click thrus a day is a hell of allot of traffic for my kind of site. www.adultxplus.com

I've never used banner ads, but for galleries, you have exclusive content and an amateurish style to your sites, that would do really well on galleries.

How well?

If you build galleries, figure out how many signups you average per 200K uniques.(to the gallery, not to your tour) Then double that, and you'll have a good idea of what that same page would do listed at the hun.

Then decide whether or not its worth the $$ to you.

If that came back form cybercat you might have misunderstood. I did this with my ad with them. They refer to what I think of as gallery spots as "text links". At least that is what I discovered on worldsex where I did a spot. If you are doing a gallery then ignore this but I thought you were just linking your site.

If anyone knows -- I had a question about that. You buy a top spot for $500 in conjunction with a $400 banner, but what happens the next day? Are you totally replaced with someone else the following day, or do you just move down a few spots?

If anyone could answer this, it would be cool...

That's probably per day... And it probably moves down the list (only 3 days shown on main index), and then you'll move to the Month archives.. Just a guess..

Buying links on the hun is risky.

If you have mad marketing skills and are pushing a awesome site. you might make money.

Other wise you will more then likely lose money. Especially when you take bandwidth into account.

I doubt if Nastyjack can even pay a banner spot at the Hun
