I tuned in back in 1978 when he and The Rolling Stones hosted it. It was wild. They sounded like shit when they played from all the coke they had done (his voice was shot and he basically barked the songs), but it was still cool and very rock-n-roll-ish.
I'm interested to watch tonight (Pacific time) and see if there is ANY mention of a possible album and tour with The Stones to commemorate their 50th anniversary.
I read something from Keith Richards who said that even though the band started in 1962, Charlie Watts didn't join until the beginning of 1963. So "Keef" considers 1962 to be the "conception" of the Stones and 1963 to be the actual "birth"
So maybe they will tour in 2013?
Mick and Keith willl be 70 years old then!
