This Song Inspired My First Screenplay Sale...

Seriously, it had nothing to do with Viet Nam, but it was a rewrite of Straw Dogs which I had never seen up until that point even though I loved Sam Peckinpah.

It was to Roger Corman, and it was only ten grand, which most hollywood types would consider a joke but still...

Selling a script is impressive no matter how you slice it, and with Corman you are in good company as far as people that caught their first paying break in Hollywood. Congrats.

But claiming you are a Peckinpah fan and not having seen the original "Straw Dogs"? Inexcusable!

Yeah, you are right, LOL considering I am a fan of his followers and even part of his cult who actually worked with him like Walter Hill who did the warriors and 48 hours and shit

that movie doesn't get the same respect as some other Vietnam War films and I've seen most of them but Platoon affected me the most - fucking creepiest scariest tragic war ever.

love CCR and John Fogerty joined one of my sites, 95% sure anyway.

What movie. Mine was about an escaped convict who actually stole the show

My dream now is a graphic novel, inspired by porn niches. I shit you not. No sarcasm. It's hard to write and create graphic images that take as long as setting up shoots.

True story, I once met Walon Green (wrote "The Wild Bunch", one of the best movies of all time as far as I am concerned) in the offices of World Modeling, the original porn talent agency.

The crazy thing is, get this... he was looking for models for a graphic novel project he was working on. Unfortunately, he passed on hiring me because he needed guys and gals with "superhero comic book style" physiques and I just didn't make the grade.
