need to renew/transfer out 72 domains
Hi All,
I need to renew 72 domains today. If I stay with NameCheap and use my 'diamonds' code the price is $676.08, and if I transfer these to GD they ask $588.24 without any coupons. Is there an ever better price somewhere else or do you have any godaddy transfer coupons? Thanks! :pimp |
Contact a GoDaddy sales rep. They'll hook you up!

How many domains do you need to get the "diamond" code? I have the gold deal, with 178 domains at NC.
|
I would say it depends what these domains actually do, and whether you have privacy etc.
I have domains at both namecheap and godaddy and have never had a problem with either. |

Diamond code is for renews and whois guards, you just need to ask for it, but i can't remember how much domains you need to have is it 50 or 100

Domain registration companies show poor commercial thinking sometimes.
I just coincidentally had to renew 4 domains at godaddy, and quote with privacy was $85. Tried 3 money off coupons none worked so I transferred them to namecheap cost me $35 including free whois protection for a year. Not a hard choice. |
similar price to godaddy should be also from moniker

http://livecodes.blogspot.com/ this site rox for godady codes they always work, just check the dates and it's updated daily :) Saves a ton of money.

anybody got a renew code for godaddy

I never would move a load of domains to GD to save a few pennies.
I'd think a few cents extra to let earn NC your business is a wisedom. |

why on earth would you move them to godaddy?
|
search google for godaddy coupons, you will find something 30% off.

I've got over 1100 names so i just pay GD that $89 annual fee to always get their lowest prices, so i do not have to hunt around for coupon codes.
I used to hunt around for them, but it got to the point where it was just getting ridiculous and the time saved by paying the $89 fee was worth it for me.. but if you only have a couple hundred or less, then it may not be worth the time saved as you have to spread that cost across the # of your domain names. |

There are some people on NamePros who regularly do transfers after expiration - some long as 30 days after depending on the registrar. Very risky to push it out that far, but point is after-expiration transfers are certainly possible, and occur all the time. To digress a bit, country-code TLDs (.us, .co, .nu, .cc, .jp, etc) are an entirely different story from gTLDs ... some ccTLDs prevent any changes / transfers being performed after expiration with some going even further by requiring renewal days to even a month prior to the expiration date. |

I think in the past that was an old rule that many registrars used, but I have not run into that problem recently. |
