Facebook question
What's the benefit or extra features of a Facebook fanpage over a regular civilian account?
|
More than 5000 "friends"?
|
You also get tracking. How many new likes etc.
|
Great question, its a toss up for me. You can't actively add friends with a page only go for likes, you can't post on others profiles its kinda limited but great to market to those who like your page because they are opting in.
I have both and drive my friends to my page and interact between the two. Like your own page with your personal and make yourself an admin, makes it easier with one login etc |

Google considers Social Networking as a ranking factor for SEO (A factor that is increasing in importance IMO)
So having a Facebook Fan page is great for branding and can only be a plus point for SEO. |

It'll take awhile, but it won't take much to change the current social networking culture. Google no longer defines the internet - they are merely chasing shadows. |
You can "kinda" skin it. You can Make someone "LIKE" it before they are let in to see it. You can add custom Buttons and or plugins things. I will email you a sample of this.
Down fall is you have to get people to LIKE your page, you just cant request friends. Well FB says you cant request anyone but friends and family anyway. It is NOT to meet people, LOL. |
When it gets busted and burns the fake admin account that runs it, you dont lose your own facebook account
