OK, Google is officially insane
 

After going through multiple revisions of my ad with their Adwords thing, where they kept denying words and saying they weren't getting high enough clickthroughs, I told them I was fed up and wanted to cancel my account.

They offered to look at my ad and suggest exactly what to do. I copied and pasted the descriptions that they gave me and used the keywords they suggested.

2 hours later I get an e-mail saying my ad was declined because I used the word "horny" in the description.

THAT'S THE GODDAMN DESCRIPTION THEY TOLD ME TO USE! I COPIED AND PASTED IT!!!!!

Adwords is becoming a fucking joke! :eyecrazy

Indeed... Adwords is a sorry excuse for PPC SE traffic....

it took me over 2 weeks to get an ad there, and once i was up, the ads in front of me weren't even relevant (linking tawnee stone to an ARS pornstar site) but they refused to do anything about it, because the splash page "says tawnee stone"...

I never have any trouble with the ads. I got horny pulled on me once, i changed the word and it was fine. 2 weeks my ass, adwords is fuckin easy

I got an ad pulled for putting "come jerk off" in my description.

well maybe they just like you. they denied every ad i tried to post for 2 weeks. ive never even tried again they pissed me off so bad.

Did you know you cannot advertise Guns etc. with adwords?

A friend of mine runs a very large legit. gun business and they wont allow him to advertise.

Haven't had a problem with them aside from deletion of low-clickthrough keywords, which I think is absurd considering odder searches tend to be more productive traffic.

I stopped fucking with them. I was having to change shit every 30 minutes.

Nor any type of tobacco products or roll your own, papers, blunts etc

I've had zero problems with adwords and they have worked great for me so far with roughly a 2% average CTR.

It's all about writing good copy :thumbsup

Google AdWords is: fast and fruitful.

I think my favorite part is how no matter how many e-mails you get from the Google Adwords team, you're never quite sure if it's a standard template response or if it was written for you specifically.

Overture is worse and I was so fed up with findwhat they responded with a phone call today to find out the issue was. Finwhat was cool so that is all resolved but overture I think I am done with. They rejected 30 of 32 submits.
