Tiered payouts?
I have been thinking of moving back to tiered payout percentages on my program. I used to use them, but never promoted them much. Now that the program is more serious, I've been thinking about bringing them back.
Something like this... My standard payout is 50%. So, if you make more than X signups in a period, your rate goes up by Y%. That sort of thing. What I have been wondering is how to structure it. How many points, where should they be, and what percentage boosts they should be for. Also, do you think these structures are worthwhile? Or is it too complicated? |
We tried them for a bit, to be honest it didn't help much.

Thanks for the feedback. Anyone else?

One option is to offer better commissions privately to your star performers, ie "I'm offering you a special deal". Whereas if you post your hot rates publicly they'll loose some of their allure.
|
ie. with the objective of retaining those star affiliates :)

That's an interesting thought. The question of whether to use the higher payouts to entice new affiliates, or to keep old ones. Hmm...

There's heaps of mainstream (ie non adult) research that shows that it is always more efficient to cultivate existing clients than it is to recuit new ones. So it's always useful to have some carrots up your sleeve to keep your favorite clients happy :)
Plus you would keep the basic program simple. And personally I hate it when there is too much fine print. |

BTW I'm Adam from Carnalia.com, got your PWs and look forward to reviewing your sites -- they have a good reputation :)
