Clips4Sale Questions
 

I am thinking of opening a Clips4Sale account... just wondering if any one can answer these for me...

1. What format do the video clips have to be in, wmv?s ? And what sort of size or quality ?

2. When making a screen grab for the clip what are the dimensions and file size required ?

3. How do clip4sales make their money, do you charge a set fee per every meg a clip is, or do you charge a % of what we charge for the clip ?

Best selling format for me on there is hi rez WMV but that does not mean thats the only one I use. :thumbsup

I prefer the MP4 Full HD. But WMV works good. The most important here its to add every day. Thats its the hard mission. Best energy

I make a few different sizes and file types, depending upon what the buyer wants it for.
You'd be surprised at how many 320 x 240 WMV / PM4 files I sell...for cell phones, etc...doesn't fill up their storage capacity.

Of course WMV / MPG larger files sell more...but the smaller ones are still worth my time to make & upload.

Large .mp4 and large .wmv along with 1280 size of both are good sellers. But honestly I don't think the surfer gives a fuck about that if they like the content.

One of the things that's dated about their site (there are many) is that you have to upload a new scene for every different file format. So if you have scene "A", but you want to offer it in .wmv, .mov. and .mp4, then you're going to have scene "A" appear 3x in your store.

Would really make more sense for them to let you control the user download options in a different way IMO.

I hear you on that, but the good thing for studios is it allows them to reappear on front page for recent updates so each time you upload the video with new format it brings you back on the update page again.

For customers, I do hear that its annoying for them to see 5 or 6 different formats of the same clip.
