GW has ElevX. Spam me with examples.
Gimme-website has just laid its mucky little hands on a ElevatedX eval.
It is my intention to end the design monopoly that surrounds this mythical CMS. But first I need examples. SPam me with HIGH END ELevX sites MID END LOW END If you want to tell me what you paid (public or icq/email) I would welcome that too. We are also looking for our first ELevX client/victim. It will be our showcase so expect something special. |
Victim chosen.. MWAHHAHHAHAHA.

I run www.kinkykicks.net on EleveatedX and have been hoping to get a re-design for a while.
I look forward to seeing your work and how competitive your prices are. For the record I paid something like $800 + $500 EX integration. The finished result of this can be viewed at http://www.kinkykicks.net/tour8/ although I added my own tweaks. I finished up abandoning this tour a few months ago (which is why thumbs are missing) and re-creating another one myself using the basic design at http://www.kinkykicks.net/tourseo . I've been using this for a couple of months now as my main tour* but it's still not quite 100% to my liking. *I'm currently experimenting with using the ElevatedX transparent tour (http://www.kinkykicks.net/freeview) as my main tour landing page to see if it converts any better. I'm leaning towards having a different tour landing page though with a clear link to this. I've probably gone off on one a bit too much here but hopefully provided a little of the kind of information you are looking for amongst all the crap! |
Some of my site tours are run with Elevated X (NaughtyAlysha.com, RoxyRaye.com, MrsSiren.com, ClubClayra.com). My designer made the site, and I did the integration myself.

I agree with what you paid for integration... But you are SHITTING me that you paid $800 for that design!!! That is a typo right? You meant $80? Your own DIY versions are 10 times better... Shame on whoever it was that charged you that. Thanks adam.. thanks BN.. |
No typo. $800 was the design price.
It was the first (and last up to now) time that I have paid for a design and the overall experience has made it difficult to trust anyone to produce what I want! I don't have that sort of surplus cash to invest at the moment so in the mean time I'm getting by doing my own minimal designs and integrations via trial and error. |

I spent 30 mins today poking around my EVal install. It's not so scary... But I can see why folks are scared of it.. Assimilation has commenced. GW will bring ElevX to the masses...Shit hot work for sensible prices. |

Was a while back but I remember seeing that design before. |

However, let me explain the following. The final design was a third attempt as we got a little fussy about what we wanted, but the final Kinky Kicks logo and colour scheme we really liked. In with the final design was the navigation menu which I hadn't be presented with initially. I assumed that any tour page would also be designed with a nav menu, after all most tour pages are useless without one. However, I was initially told that I did not get one as I didn't request it. The actual page layout also wasn't exactly as I wanted, but again this could be argued that I wasn't clear enough with my instructions. After waiting for the project to be finished a month or so later I was happy enough that it was a significant transformation over the default ElevatedX template and heralded its praises. However, over the next few months I started having doubts about a couple of things, particularly with the headers. While in a bad patch for sales AJ Hall and users of this board all suggested that a) the tour header was way too big and b) the join page was just plain bad (it also had a very large top header) So piece by piece I started to make my own tweaks, starting with the header and join page, then moving onto the actual layout of the tour pages. I'll re-iterate though that I have kept the foundations such as the header text style and colour scheme as I do like these. So it would be unfair to say that I 100% dislike the design as this is not the case. There were good bits and not so good bits. I've just taken out the not so good bits! |
Baz, Did sales improve measureably with those changes?

Hi AJ,
If you refer back to my post last year (https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1043898) I actually discovered that I hadn't entered correct default NATS code values into my ElevatedX tour settings. I believe I emailed you about this as well. I lost nearly two weeks of sales pulling my hair out and spent hours on to TMM support, but once I fixed that and went live with those design tweaks yes things did pick up significantly. :thumbsup |
