great, im flying to london on friday :uhoh

well then be happy they have the troops there. I flew out of Newark airport the day we started bombing Afghansistan. Huge machine guns everywhere. On one level it scared me and on another it made me feel better.

I'll keep looking out of my window and let you know if London falls until then it is still standing.

speculation flying over here but apparently the tanks and such were ordered there by Tony Blair directly. The buzz is a threat of a mortar attack like the one that took down the plane in Kenya but all the officals talking to the press will say is that they can't rule it in or out.

It's crazy here at the moment. I live outside London in Windsor, where the queen lives, and it's absolute mayhem - there are tanks driving round the street and loads of army boys running about with guns.

Oh, and I'm sure it has nothing whatsoever to do with all the big anti-war marches going on this week... I'm certain that Blair doesn't think we'll be more likely to support the war if we feel under threat at home. That's not his style at all. Oh no. :Graucho
