affiliate fraud?

I really really dont want to shoot myself in the foot here.. but i think I should let people know about a possible affiliate fucking you over.. or it is possible even that he/she is not.. and its all a coincidence.

let say X affiliate sends 7 sales.. and X affiliates signups all charged back or got credited...

that enough to terminate his/her ass or not?

And if so, should i post the persons name or, or ask to be emailed in private to hand out the info for the sponsor to look them up and see if they have em..

if you are interested send me an email webmaster @ epic cash . com and I will give you the name of the person.. and please include what program you run.. so i dont feel guilty about handing out personal info...

If this is unethical, let me know cause I cant make up my mind on what todo.

If you are certain he is involved in fraud, I see no problem in sharing his name with other webmaster programs. This is happening already actually. (CEN, CE...)

You seem to have a lot of people sending 7 signups that are all charged back.

D'oh!

Hmm....well at least I got the number right.

Look at his referral URL's to see where he's sending signups from. Take a look for patterns in the credit cards to see if there's fraud going on.

You process with Epoch right? email [email protected] and ask him to look at the reseller in question. He can tell you in a matter of a day if they think the guy is fraud.

Tho personally with 7 credits on 7 sales I can pretty much guarantee you it is... check the ip for matching blocks or proxies.

I create the reseller account in my program.. not epoch.. so we cant track it that way.. but we could track it by member ID...

I have looked at the members and all the info is different.. dif state, country, email , name etc.. nothing is consistent or similar in regards to the members information.... Im assuming the ip's will be differnt aswell..

Looks like fraud.
Can't you see the referring url?
Maybe he was telling lies on his site and promissed alot more then you have to offer inside but then 6/7 chargebacks is still crazy.

CTR 02-11-2003 05:42 AM

It sounds like "Carders" have found your affiliate program, they are a real pain in the ass

yea i saw the gallery he was using.. doesnt look suspicious at all.. but that doesnt mean anything.. could just be a front.. something looks totally normal, but is being used as a gateway to get the sales and not draw attention..

who knows.. I just dont see the odds of that happening..
also he/she has a foreign name and address is in houston texas heh.. possible mail drop.. or maybe he defected to houston lol.. its kind of fun playing detective.

Yours is fine. Keep sending those sign-ups! :thumbsup

angelsofporn 02-11-2003 10:20 AM

thats what i'm afraid of..I'd like to offer per signup but seems like you could get screwed pretty easily...If you cross sale you can sponge the losses cuz your profit margins are higher but i dont really want to do that
