Dedico hosting customers? Anyone else up?
 

Seems like no one has noticed, but a Dedico hosting has decided to truck their servers across country to a new facility via semi truck. The result has been 24 hours of downtime and counting.

Has anyone heard anything about this, if they are moving, or if it's time to go from panic mode in GI joe mode and hiring people to track down the servers before they wipe em & sell them?

You get what you pay for :D

They aren't a cut rate company, anyways it's just my FHG server, not my main server, still would like it to be up.


The most expensive and well known hosts were much worse than them anyways, they've always been a great company until recently.

dedico got the server is back plugged in, can ping it, apache doesn't seem to be running though, just waiting on a final reboot from them... any minute now.

We were down late Saturday night until around 5pm last night.

All our servers are back up. I was in contact with Costa most of the time. For moving a whole cage, it seems to have gone pretty well.

Just seeing some latency issues, but I'm sure they'll work it out soon.

I'm in Austin and have been to the data center they moved to. It's by far the nicest data center in Austin. I'm willing to put up with a planned outage, then have the random ones they were seeing at the data center in Dallas.

I was just at that data center last week. I'd go so far to say that its the nicest data center in all of central TX! I know that Dedico was getting set up there.
