(music) nu metal still alive?
I am feeling nostalgic, I used to listen to:
limp bizkit linkin park korn rage against the machine Any new names that I should check out after 10 years? :) |
They're all still around. I actually like Linkin Park. Rage is awesome, I wouldn't consider them nu-metal though.
You're pretty brave to admit you like Limp Bizkit. ; ) Check out this site for nu-metal news: nusick.com/ |

Hurt Spineshank/Silent Civillian System of a Down Machinehead Killswitch Engage Fear Factory All That Remains Slipknot/Stone Sour Stabbing Westward Mudvayne/whatever his other band is called Tool/Perfect Circle NIN There are tons of great bands still out there. (I wouldn't really count Tool/PC/NIN as numetal, but eh) |

Spineshank is what got me hooked on metal. I saw them in 2001 at an Orgy show and they blew me away. I've seen them 6 or 7 times since then, they're amazing live. : D |
If you're looking for some good nu metal, "Abandon All Ships" is pretty sweet -

And I don't care much about if they are nu metal or not, just want to hear similar bands to those I mentioned :) |

I'm not sure what the rest of the band is doing, but the singer, Christopher Hall has a band called The Dreaming. |
Except for rage you pretty much listened to music it was bound to dissapear.
|
Numetal is a disgrace to metal.
|
I used to listen to Ratt and Shotgun Messiah. Before that, I grew up on The Runaways, Starz and Kiss?

I have tried but just cant get into hard metal :) Bout as hard as I go is Nirvana, Faith No More, Metallica. True gen gap I think. Something you have I am missing and vice versa. :)
|
I don't think it's a generation gap at all. Metal has been around for decades.

Way more intense and heavier. Altho I used to say that about Nirvana and Metallica in the early 90s and now I can dig it so who knows maybe I will be able to rock out to it someday hehe. [insert Beavis and Butthead doing heavy metal head movements :)] |
