Definitely worth it, and has Sperbonzo said, watch it from the beginning of the first season. Normally I wouldn't get into medieval bullshit, but this one is great.Comment

I think you need to like the genre. If you do, you'll love it. It's a well-executed series.
Sperbonzo is 100% right, though. I caught a few episodes last season but was so lost that it was hard for me to get into it--and I love fantasy adventure flicks. I'd start at the beginning, where all good things hail from.

If you read the novel you will get that that there are so many things that did not existed in books. Probably they made it to get the series more spicy. Season 1 ends with all the Night Watch guys going out of the Wall, but this happens in second book. So they did a lot of different stuff that makes the movies watch worthy.
I'd say - yes - watch the movies - but get it from first season to know who's who.Comment
