how to edit wind noise out of videos?

okay so i did a beach video yesterday and the wind kicked up a notch. i turned on the "mic wind" filter on my vixia hoping it would help. as i'm editing today it obviously didn't help much. its really pretty bad whenever we are near the water. fortunately most of the action took place about 50yard from the water so the wind is muted a bit. is there a way in either Vegas or Premiere to edit or minimize wind noise levels in post?

and here is sunshine, with a voodoo juju doll we found on the beach for views :upsidedow

Google Audacity Its a tool to do that.. There is a couple youtube videos that show how to use it. Its free and works pretty well.

Make sure to update it when you get it.

Try playing some perico ripiao or some bachata over the audio and have her do a voiceover.

Next time put some foam over the microphone.

noise reduction does well in soundforge. just get a blank area (2-3 seconds would do) where there is only the wind/noise (whatever you want to filter out), make a noiseprint from it and then noisefilter the whole sound. but it can become very warbly, no perfect way to do it, careful.

Since you have Premiere Pro, you might also have Adobe Audition or Soundbooth. Either can do noise reduction really well.
