Students at Winter Park High School in Florida are in shock after bodies found burning on a local trail were identified as well-liked students at the school.

Authorities said the badly charred bodies were Nicholas Presha, 16, and Jeremy Stewart, 18, WESH-TV reported.

The two were described as best friends who were inseperable.

The bodies were spotted on Sunday by bicyclists who saw them on an embankment next to a bridge and immediately called 911.

?I can?t tell if there?s two mannequins or two people burning,? one caller said.

The two were arrested for grand theft auto earlier this year, according to the report, but friends described them as good kids who didn?t have any enemies.

?[Nicholas\] has done some things wrong, but he?s kind-hearted and he cares about other people for sure,? Lucas Anderson, a friend of the victims, told the TV station.

A vigil for the teenagers is being held on Thursday night near the area where they were found.

Detectives said the victims may have been killed because they owed a gang member a debt, but told the TV station it was still ?just a theory.?

Sources told WFTV that the two were shot ?execution style? with their hands bound behind their backs.

?I can?t imagine someone burning someone else?s kids, you know?? Shannon Wood, a friend of Presha, told WFTV. ?How are you going to shoot someone and burn them right after??

Presha?s father, Bernie Presha, is a detective for the Orange County State Attorney?s Office.

Their friends, meanwhile, are struggling to cope with the horrific crime.

I hate when they interview relatives and they spout off some complete bullshit about their kids being angels. Yeah your kid cares about other people, thats why he steals their cars and drives around speeding and blowing red lights and stop signs fucked up on weed/alcohol/prescription pills. Oh and got himself shot in the back of the head and set on fire. Good kids always get shot in the back of the head and set on fire.

The over kill, bound hands, gunshot, fire, means an example was being made.
