Baseball coach suspended for saying he admires Fidel Castro
Florida Marlins baseball manager Ozzie Guillen was suspended today after praising Marxist murderer Fidel Castro in a recent interview.

Jeeze.
Fidel Castro did a TON of good for that island. Did bad too, what leader hasn't? But thanks to the US Government, he is an enemy. I'd wager Bush has more blood and torture on his hands than Castro. |
freedom of speech my ass....
|
haha try living down here, they take that shit super seriously and are sensitive to it
|
Fidel is a boss.
|
You can teach school kids about creationism and how evolution is a con. But you had better not mention, you admire Castor. LOL
No wonder so many Americans are so dumb. Not any of the Americans here of course. </sarcasm> |

Why do you guys always confuse these things? . |
What is there to admire? Castro has suppressed the Cuban people, he is no better than any other totalitarian dictator.

I will never understand why so many chin-dribbling idiots fall all over themselves to defend asshole dictators like Castro. The same FUCKTARDS that cry about Freedom of Speech, Gay Rights, Womens Rights, Civil Rights, etc, etc... find overwhelming sympathy for Communist rulers who oppress their citizens and deny them even the most basic of all human rights. It makes absolutely zero sense. |
Why would anyone give a shit what he thought about castro or cuba in the first place? Because of his race or country of origin? Shit stirring dickwads. Ask about baseball or GTFO.

http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/20...ealth-lessons/ quote: Despite a 50-year trade embargo by the United States and a post-Soviet collapse in international support, the impoverished nation has developed a world-class health care system. Average life expectancy is 77.5 years, compared to 78.1 years in the United States, and infant and child mortality rates match or beat our own. There?s one doctor for every 170 people, more than twice the per-capita U.S. average. Not everything is perfect in Cuba. There are shortages of medicines, and the best care is reserved for elites. But it?s still a powerful feat. ?In Cuba, a little over $300 per person is spent on health care each year. In the U.S., we?re spending over $7,000 per person,? said Drain, co-author of Caring for the World and an essay published April 29 in Science. ?They?re able to achieve great health outcomes on a modest budget.? |

I found irony in his apology for what was said. Freedom of speech is not easily found in Cuba. But he himself mentioned in his statement he was hired to manage a baseball team, not talk politics.

And you bring up another point... the assholes that scream lies about "infant mortality rates" are the SAME assholes that expect free abortions-on-demand any time, any place, for any reason. As usual... this is NOT about saving babys' lives, it is about political posturing and power. Now, I am not dogmatic about abortions or "women's rights" or any of that... I'm simply pointing out the GLARING hypocrisy and illogic all you brain-dead drones spew everywhere you go. I will also admit that the US health care system needs a drastic overhaul, but to look at turd-world countries like Cuba and think that THEY have all the answers... well, I don't even know how to describe the pure idiocy of that notion. |
thought he was the manager for the white sox?

Yeah...the hospital won't turn you away, but they'll have no problem charging you $15k for a 48 hour stay effectively putting most average Americans with out healthcare even more in the hole. You your brain...if you do in fact have one. |

And the topic here was having a baby. In most cases, $15k will cover the entire 9 month pregnancy, including ultrasounds, prenatal visits, etc, etc... Despite what they tell you on MSNBC, the OVERWHELMING majority of Americans already DO have some sort of insurance -- or Medicaid -- to help with (or completely cover) those costs. And if you are too much of a lazy loser to provide yourself with insurance (or some other way to cover the cost) mark my words carefully... YOU SHOULD NOT BE HAVING CHILDREN! If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em. |
