i add to it everytime I get a spam... hit the blacklist button, it adds them to the list, and auto-bounces their shit forevermore. :glugglug

I'm thinkin' I need to just nuke the whole yahoo and hotmail domains though.... wanted to keep it open incase someone I knew was using one, but fuck it.... all I get from them is spam.

Amp, you realize the majority of those email addresses are actually other people on the spammers list? When they mail out they choose an address at random on their list to be the "from" address.

Some will of course be autogenerated bogus yahoo/hotmail/whatever addressses..

Blacklisting by email is pretty much completely useless. No spammer worth the slime in his bed would use a real email address - only legitimate companies do that.

doesn't matter to me..... I don;t read the spam or care who it's from or what it's about. As soon as I see it's spam, I smack it with the blacklist button and it's done. If I get more than a few from the same domain, I blacklist the whole fucking domain.... and I don't ever see that shit from them again. One spammer at a time. :glugglug

I was wondering waht stopped you! I blacklisted yahoo, hotmail, aol and mailexcite since years ago. When I know somebody I want to get mails from will use one of those domains, simply give him/her an alternative way to contact me. Still got 100+ spam mail per day, but I must be getting at least 200 less than I got before doing this. Anyway, filter by keyword, it's better (I'm not interested in rent, dvd, mortgage, bukakke, lolita and so on, you apply your preferred keywords and get a lot less spam! :thumbsup )

btw, who's the idiot that spams webmasters' mails with sites for surfers? who can be that braindead? :321GFY

I haven;t set up the filters yet, because I wanted to run through Mailwasher for a few months first to see what kind of addys the majority of the shit comes from.... I'm starting to see some definate trends though..... probly March I will create the filters and be done with them. :winkwink:
