so he hits me up a few mins ago and says I have an account with him but apparently doesn't want to tell me what company he works for. I'm not handing out account info to people I don't know, and if this person works for a company I do business with, a little professionalism in at least saying who the fuck you are would help...

It could be also fault of ICQ. It loves to drop messages containing URLs sometimes, but I'm not sure whether also in case when other party is in your address book. If this is the case he could sent you their URL few times and then laughing you must be idiot or something :) Just idea :)

that was an amazing company with incredible content. haven't used them in a while, so I just stopped using them a while ago and never went back just cause I hadn't thought about them in a while..

that's possible I guess, I've never experienced it before and i send urls back and forth to people all the time....

Thats true, ICQ can drop urls and what not sometimes. It sounds plausible.

Ya I've had this happen before. Luckily we both figured out quickly messages weren't making it through which prevented a situation like the OP but ICQ definitely drops messages and will make it look like 1 person is ignoring the other.

This is one of the MANY reasons I switched to Skype in 2005 ... sent a mass message to all my contacts telling them how they can get hold of me (skype, phone, email, SMS, BBM ...) and have never looked back!!!

This is Matty. :P This was, in fact, an ICQ problem. Every second line I typed had a url and the messages were blocked. Sleazydream and I have had a good laugh about it. Seriously not as dumb as this thread has made me out to be. :P Hit me up people. Maybe on Skype instead....

Matty does a fantastic job supporting the affiliate program for Reality cash.

In fact if anybody thinks differently, Put him to the test.

Hit him up, give him some of your traffic ( banners etc.) and tell him to monetize it & make you money.
Who ever does that, can earn the right to further comment on his work ethics or anybody's work ethics. It amazes me how people Jump on the wagon and comment without even knowing the FULL story, WOW!. :winkwink:
