the inconvenience of eating

Planning and preparing meals each day gets old. Haven't they invented a single pill yet that you could take each day as an effective meal replacement?

L-Pink 04-09-2012 12:18 PM

I love eating, and cooking.

LOL I agree. Sometimes it's nice to sit down and enjoy a nice meal. But sometimes it would be nice to pop a pill and keep going. Shit, now you got me thinking about what I'm going to have for lunch :Oh crap

I think having a shit every single fucking day is a complete waste of what little time we have on planet earth ... :321GFY God

CurrentlySober 04-09-2012 12:20 PM

It would be nice, I grant you...

Ballers have somebody to cook for them

bronco67 04-09-2012 01:33 PM

I love stuffing my gullet with food. It's one of the pleasures of life I cherish.

Tom_PM 04-09-2012 01:36 PM

Yeah, nothing like prepping and cooking for 40 minutes then eating in 5 minutes.

Rochard 04-09-2012 01:38 PM

I just had lunch. If it wasn't for food I might never leave my computer.

I'm vegetarian and periodically go on fruitarian mode. There's a nice ritual and spiritual/psychological benefit in choosing your food, talking to the people that grow your food, physically going out to farmers markets, and of course, preparing your food.

Alienation is a common symptom of modern existence. Convenience is crack for the soul. Having intimate knowledge and exercising your will over basic activities like preparing and selecting food can keep you in touch with what is real.

Just my two cents on this matter.

I love food, and I love eating. One of the most sensuous pleasures in life. If you really feel that way then I feel bad for you. You're missing out on one of the most basic reasons to be alive and inhabiting a body in the first place!

I get a delivery box containing 5 daily meals (3 main, 2 small ones) as a part of my sports nutrition program. Month and a half into it since I discovered that company doing those deliveries.

Hard to describe how much that ROCKS:
- not going food shopping and thinking what the fuck to buy each day
- not preparing anything, I just take a package out of the fridge saying ex. lunch and put it into a microwave oven
- eating a lot more diversified, each day is kinda a culinary discovery
- eating healthier and more often/balanced (5x compared to 2-3 what it was before)

Also on a super serious note... thats a cool biz idea to imitate, specially if you own some small restaurant or got access to a nice kitchen. These guys offer such deliveries (made by nutricionists) for athletes, dieters, sick people, pregnant women.... etc etc, kewl

Prefer the classic meals :)
