Blog network interlinking question:
I have 20 blogs in the same niche, spread over about 12 unique IP's and 8 or 9 Class C IP addresses.
Each blog is on it's own domain, no subdomains, no free blogs. (blogger, etc.) Would some kind soul please answer the following questions: 1) what would be the best way to interlink them? a) Blog 1 links to Blogs 2-20, Blog 2 links to blogs 1, 3-20 etc. b) Blog 1 links to blog 2, blog 2 links to blog 3, etc. c) Other? 2) How much damage can I do to my network if I do this wrong? Is the wrong strategy still better than no strategy? All blogs are new so there's no traffic or ranking to lose. |
Look into butterfly/linkwheel linking to benefit your main blog/s or tube if you're doing that :winkwink:
Also, wrong linking strategy won't hurt your network as bad as people make it seem. As long as you don't have every blog linking to every blog or something stupid like that or linking/hosting malware then you'll be fine. |

Just test it and report your findings here :)

just link them naturally
google knows they are all your sites so no use thinking otherwise |

I posted about this yesterday, do a GFY search of the "butterfly"... if you don't like that one, I know of a more basic and to the point linking strategy called the "caterpillar" for beginners.

20 blogs isn't enough to matter or hurt anything and linking them all together isn't going to hurt anything. There is no harm at all in linking your own sites together as long as you are not doing it too fast - i.e. linking 1000 blogs to a target site in one day. If they are site-wide links, you might want to do 10 a day or something.. but its not going to hurt anything.
People come up with all these crazy names and diagrams for link strategies which all do only one thing... put distance between the money site and the inbound links. Doesn't matter what you call it.. "butterfly" "fruitfly" or "moth" or whatever. Doesn't matter a whole lot how you do it. It doesn't need to be complicated and It's all the same thing... nothing special and it's pointless unless you are doing it on a large scale or continually building for the long term as the link values are going to be negligible as it is... much more so when linked to intermediary sites, then to the money site. :2 cents: |
"wasp" has been proven very effective and is highly recommended amongst the link-wheeling community. different strategies for different results, even the "house fly" variation Rothstein posted is effective for small networks in generating initial linkwheel mojo. your money site can reach level 3 linkwheel mojo within 5 business days, after which you can safely start the evolution to more advanced strategies. think of it like a pokemon card game, except this is real life and your cards are your sites.
