At the end I thought it was going to turn into a joke. I thought he was going to jump while his girlfriend watched. :Oh crap
I paid a few thousand bucks for laser eye surgery to get rid of glasses. Now I will have to wear glasses again just to constantly have a bunch of flashing icons obscure my vision? |

Should we optimize sites for this now? Or make new service, for example, face reckognition of people on street so you can find them in database of facebook or dating sites?
Also, what with people who use normal glasses with dioptry |
I actually made something similar 10 years ago, but considerably larger, LOL and a belt load of convertors and mini IBM PC110 (remember them?)
My thought is that these are probably going to be an I/O device for an android tablet or phone that you'll need to bluetooth with. So unlikely for the shorterm that UI's need to be constructed for them. Can't see them packing enough punch into one small unit, or sustaining battery life otherwise. I had the problem when i was playing around of only an EGA mode I think, but using it just for icons was neat as you dont need to worry about resolution then. There is also something funky with your eyes that the closer you get the higher the percieved resolution is, something to do with visual acuity so you can get away with a fairly low res. I did see something recently that shows that some icons exceed CGA density or something but I wouldnt expect it to have a great resolution , nor would they want to talk about it either as people will just compare it to a retina display. |
