Cell Phone Provider. Who Do You Have?
I am currently with Virgin, and it's time to look at other carriers and phones again. Whether a contract up, or in need of upgrade, I typically like to shop around to see what else is on the market.
I am not interested in the iPhone. I am thinking Verizon (never used) and going with a decent screen smart phone. Anyone have any good feedback on Verizon or phones they love? Fire away ladies. |
We have AT&T and iPhones currently and everyone is pretty happy. We have had AT&T since 2001 so we have a couple grandfathered perks that most of the new ATT peeps don't have. I have friends who use MetroPCS but they get what they pay for when their internet goes down for a few days and no explanation from the company or just shitty coverage. Sprint is pretty good from what I have heard but where we are located(DFW Metroplex) it seems AT&T has the least dropped calls and most consistent 3G connection but sometimes the price will eat your lunch. Just my $.02 YMMV

I have a Business Account with T-mobile which works well. :winkwink:
|
Been with tmobile for many years now and they always been great. Have you tried Android phones?
|
Just switched to AT&T...
Was a long time Boost Mobile user before last Saturday.... :1orglaugh |

Virgin has been OK for the couple of years I've had them now (switched from ATT) but looking for some other options or feedback. |
iPhone 4S with Verizon. AT&T sucked, had them for years and frankly, I dont give a fuck about being able to talk on the phone and browse the damn web at the same time. I've never really found myself in that situation and if needed, I would use my wifes cell or hang up and call the person back.
AT&T speed on 3G claims to be faster, but Id rather take a slower speed and more reliable network |

I have T-Mobile as my primary with a Verizon back up.

Verizon has the overall best coverage but is more expensive then lets say tmobile.
when your in the middle of nowhere odds are your verizon phone will work. |
I'm with Telus
|
AT&T w/ an iPhone and it's AWFUL! I have had them for years and I would love to dump them but they think I work for the USPS so I get 25% off my monthly bill each month... Switching to Verizon would cost too much... So what I only complete half the calls I make, big deal right!

I was leaning towards Verizon this time for service, and a SmartPhone/Droid. |
I've got a Droid Razr Maxx from Verizon and I love it, coverage has been pretty excellent where I'm at, rarely a dropped a call.
|
Iphone 4 on Verizon. I made the mistake of switching to ATT back before Verizon had the iphone. Needless to say I cancelled that contract 4 months in and switched back to Verizon.

Once you get a smart phone BF, you'll be amazed how you got along without one. If you aren't a Mac guy and don't think you want an iPhone, your best bet is an Android smartphone with one of the major carriers that has a good signal in your area. I've had a business account with Sprint for years now and I get excellent coverage in my area and even when I travel to Vegas, Phoenix, Tampa and other places.
You have many options with Android for the phone itself, but I recommend a nice 4 inch or bigger screen. My almost two year old HTC Evo 4G has a 4.3 inch screen which I love. Other phones like the iPhone's screen appear tiny by comparison. Many people like the Samsung Galaxy S II. Whatever Android phone you get, almost all the popular apps are free. |

T-Mobile USA for 6+ years and Galaxy S IIs since recently.
If you're in a metro area T-Mobile most likely rocks, is cheaper than other carriers, has some killer plans with or without phone subsidy. Pre-paid as well. |

You know virgin has smart phones? I absolutely HATE phone contracts, I paid $99 for an android phone and now I pay $25 a month instead of $68 for the same damn service.

At&t, I had Cingular until they got bought out many moons ago.
|
AT&T offered a friend of mine another business phone for $9.95 a month and internet for $30. So I bought an iphone4-s for $199. and have a monthly bill with internet for just $39.95 on his account.
Great deal and the phone is like magic for me. . |

like Verizon's coverage on 4G
|
I'm with Sprint, under an employee plan so it's the better option compared to Verizon or T-Mobile. I pay $70 a month with unlimited service which is a bargain compared to AT&T and Verizon on an Android 4G phone.
I've been able to hook up my family with Sprint phones for $0.01 from Amazon Wireless and then change them up to a $40 a month plan. I'm currently buying two Boost phones to give away as they have an unlimited service which eventually drops to $35 a month. If you have bad credit boost is the best option as it uses the same Sprint Towers, so your coverage is about the same. My recommendation is T-Mobile, as they have a $49.95 unlimited plan for two lines, but you have to get it at their corporate office not at one of those resellers. You do have to buy the phone from them I believe, I haven't checked if you can buy a phone from eBay. |
Verizon. No problems.
I found it comical when Conner and he's fucking "holier than god Iphone" couldn't get a signal. In a bar in Tempe. LOL. |

Verizon is just about the best cell phone company out now
|
Virgin is Sprint. If you get good reception from virgin. You will get good reception on sprint.
They have the only unlimited plan at the lowest price. |
In Australia we have Red Bull Mobile.
$365 for a year unlimited calling and 5GB data per month. |
Verizon and question my decision every time the bill comes. It's nice always having a strong signal in the middle of any city or deep in the boonies.
|
Had T-Mobile for years with no issues. Was cool cause cheaper than others and service was good. They just changed their terms on data usage so you can barely use it while roaming and then it shuts off until the next month so I switched to Verizon as I gotta have internet while roaming/traveling. Verizon costs more than t-mobile but I travel too much to not have internet.
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-573...oaming-limits/ Currently have iPhone4s & Blackberry on Verizon and 1 Android phone still on T-Mobile If you travel a lot and use data think you need to be looking at Verizon or ATT |
Page Plus (Verizon Network) $39.95 Unlimited voice/text 100mb of data
I have a HTC Incredible already on PP for sale Like new only used a few months and always had screen protector and case. $160 shipped. |

There's a great reason why T-Mobile lost 802,000 customers in 4Q 2011. T-Mobile sucks ass.
Verizon Wireless FTW. |
