Eyeglasses Online vs Instore
Lenscrafters here has a pair of oakleys for $310 and with prescription comes out to just over $650.
Framesdirect has the exact same glasses for $200 with prescription comes to $289. Quite a difference. |

http://www.framesdirect.com/ ? Cool I was looking for a good site for frames. |
Hey Fris, www.clearlycontacts.ca Use the coupon code firstpairfreeca. unless you want high index lenses, special coatings, Transitions, or tints. Will run you under $30 and that's shipping included. Even with the transitions.. I think mine came to $130.

The glasses stores around here are competing with the online shops AND each other so we get good deals...

Online VS In-Store. Expose on Marketplace. http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/2012/framed/ quite the racket in the eyeglass market.
|
I'm quite happy with mine from 39dollarglasses.com. The $39 price included coatings. One of the coatings, I think it's UV, is pointless with polycarbonate but you know the store would have tried to sell UV ciat for an extra $65 or whatever.
I guessed that for $39 the glasses likely wouldn't be that good, but for the price I figured it was worth a try. They are just as good as what I paid $200+ for at the store. |
Not sure if they'd have the frames you've been interested in, but I can say that I've had a great experience with coastal (dot) com the first pair of eyeglasses are free, only paying for shipping and any extras you may want same sort of deal as RebelR posted I guess.

more competition online. fris, if you need glasses with Rx, let me know a friend of mine owns a glasses store, online and an actual storefront. He can beat any deals.
