I once was blind but now I can see...
 

I went to Phoenix Forum and it was pretty obvious I was blind as a bat. Didn't notice it at home because I had no problems reading street signs, etc. First thing I did Sunday when I got back was went to the eye doctor. Holy shit what a difference.

Anyone else ever go through that?

going through some serious eye strain lately.. i should probably get them checked soon though just in case.

No I went through the opposite, doc told me I needed glasses. Went and bought some, then later realized I didn't need them lol

Probably just your eyes adjusting to the lack of blinding sunlight.

No... I haven't been traveling much recently, and once I was taken out of my comfort zone (the same old places I go on a regular basis) it was clear I was having problems.

And it really sucks when you can't see boobies.

I think glasses are a scam mostly. I know some people need them but not the percentage of thw population that has them. Once they get you in the glasses club they pretty much have you for life. I've never met anyone that had their eyes cured by wearing glasses.

That's because glasses aren't a cure for anything. They just allow you to be able to see by compensating for the deficiencies in your eye. My vision is by no means horrible, about -2.00, but I would have trouble driving without them for sure

Well, it it is distance you can not see, I highly recommend Lazik.

Lazik is good. Gone are the halo effects and all of the other shit from 1990-2007 Lazik. Now it is just awesome.

I went through that about 12 years ago. When I finally got glasses I could not believe how bad my eyes were.

Just realized i am having the same problem... Making an appointment right now. Didnt even think about this. What would i do if i didnt have GFY

I still think its a scam. Something like 75% of americans have glasses or contacts. All these people have deficiencies? How did humanity ever survive before glasses were invented? :1orglaugh

because they got by on seeing things in a blur.. that doesn't mean they couldn't benefit from using them. I hear what you are saying, i agree with you to some degree, but if you choose to see things out of focus because you think you don't 'need' them then that is ridiculous.


oh and mild prescriptions can correct things such as certain astigmatisms and eye strain..

OH, now that I can see.... Clearly that was done by explosives. I might have to give this some thought.
