There's a first! I just saw the amazing video for this "Tenacious D" song, on TV! Kerrang music video channel, here in the UK on satellite. I've seen it on the web, but very cool to see it on the tube.

I was so blown away when I found out that Tenacious D really is Jack Black. I figured they just used him in that one video. Can it really be? If so, his music is far better than his acting.

I saw them in concert...best show I've ever seen. Jack Black brought up a bunch of life-size cardboard posters of himself and put them all over the stage, then threw them out into the crowd. He danced around playing a little kids plastic saxophone (which he called a saxamaboom) for a song. It was genius, VERY good stage presence. I remember something with JB lighting Kyle on fire too, but that's a little vague.

their HBO stuff is classic. seen them in concert 4 times. you have to see them live.:thumbsup

the video has been running for a couple months on Kerrang and that P-rock channel. Really funny and I find myself increasingly attracted to Jack Black..ack.

This isn't the greatest thread in the world, this is just a tribute.

Jables is a god. I met him on the set of Shallow Hal and because he recognizes true fandom (and I had a low cut shirt) he put me and my best friend on the guest list for the next night's show at Ziggy's. The show was incredible, even Lee came. He is brilliant and nice (even if that movie sucks.)
