altering images to make them image search engine proof?

is there a way to do this server side to alter an image file just slightly enough to make it not show up as a match in image search engines?

crop a little off the edge, resize it to where it's approximately 5% larger than the original, write a unique alt, and then scale it in html.

yep, it really works. With that being said, image search traffic does not convert nearly as well as search traffic, but it's still traffic.

youre saying you can create a unique image, one that will not be detected as a copy, by any image matching script, by cropping it 5% and changing the alt tag ?
