I met her at a club called the Opium Den in Hollywood... my band played there a few times. This was 1999.

Turns out, Danielle (Topanga) was great friends with the promoter. She showed up one night, way early...

The female singer from my band runs over to me yelling "Oh my fucking God, Topanga is here."

She was decked out in a slutty red velvety dress... she introduced herself to me as Danielle and said she'd heard good things about my band.

We talked for 20 minutes, and a few times again that night. I even got to hear her rap for me...

I never let on that I was into the show, nor did I make a big deal of it. Before I could ask for her #, she was a bit hammered and left with some younger guy who looked like a Color Me Badd reject.

We played there a few more times, got to meet Lance Bass from NSync (totally coked up!), Jonathan from Korn, Matthew Perry, Alison Hannigan, Melissa Joan Hart (who is way short), and a few others.

The only other great conversation I got into was with one of the girls from the shit-pop group Wild Orchid.
