Key change underway for Google's search algo: SEMANTIC SEARCH

This tweak (it isn't exactly new but the upcoming change might involve a heavier emphasis) will put the onus on SEARCH INTENT and building content around intent triggers.

http://mashable.com/2012/03/22/googl...ic-search-seo/
Even among Google?s most recent algorithm updates ? Panda, Search Plus Your World and Venice, to name a few ? keywords remained relatively unscathed. But the upcoming update to move Google to semantic search technology, according to top Google Search executive Amit Singhal, is adding a whole new element to the game: the human element.

What Is Semantic Search?

Semantic search uses artificial intelligence in order to understand the searcher?s intent and the meaning of the query rather than parsing through keywords like a dictionary. When you search now, Google gives you results based solely on the text and the keywords that you put in that search. Essentially, Google gives you its best guess.

When you use semantic search, Google will dive into the relationship between those words, how they work together, and attempt to understand what those words mean. Google will understand that ?their? and ?they?re? has two different meanings and when ?New? and ?York? are placed together, it changes the meaning.

Interesting.

Cool, maybe now I'll find out the answer to "do I have a small cock?" without being bombarded with penis enhancement pills. If I have a big cock, taking these supplements could be dangerous, but as I can't see the wood for the trees, I don't know.

Roll out semantic searching :upsidedow

The examples in the openingpost are not AI.
Most likely google is gonna use a profile wich they created of the user wich they use to inerpret the search query.
For example if 2 people make the same searchquery they receive a different output based on their profile created by the all spying google eyes.

If jhon(45) makes a search for "pussy" he may receive awesome stunning new pornsited full of wide spread pussy's based on the search history and other google data.

But if caroline (56) searches for "pussy" she gets all the websites with boring kittens new born and new breads or whatever.

In addition googles AI may as well predict what your next searchquery will be and place thos searches already on the searchpage for you even before you knew you would go search for it later on!!!!

It's definitely gonna be tricky and you can bet the results won't be even. Roller coaster ride, anyone?

I think for users this will look like just an extension of what they've always done - try to find pages ABOUT a topic. Google is just getting smart enough to know that a search for maxipad should also consider phrases like "sanitary napkin". Also, it will know that if you search for "beatles at apple" versus "apple ipad", the word "apple" has two different meanings. Do, a new tool or two they have to find pages about a topic as opposed to artificially keyword stuffed pages. For users, just slightly better results. For extreme SEO people focused on keywords, it's bad news because Google will tend to prefer a page with content about a topic over an engineered keyword spamming page. Conversely, that's good news for people with actual content, because Google has a new way to find the real content and separate it from tne cruft.

For webmasters who have built pages with content, pages designed to capture the surfers attention, I think this is a good thing. I Mainly those who have crazy bounce rates from pages that have nothing for the surfer will suffer, I suspect.

Only if you are trying to trick the surfer... but if you actually have what they are searching for, this is awesome!
