I posted in wrong section... here it is again.
Hey GFY, help me out please.
I have a guy from ICQ that was hired to make some programming changes that ripped my database, for a fact, and replicated my sites and is charging for it. He is a member on gfy and will out him as soon as I take his domains and can get that ICQ log. I can see the convo... it is like 100 lines... I just can't find an easy way to dump it into excel or word. Any pointers? |
Should I stick some popcorn in the microwave, or will this take time to gestate ?
|
what's your ICQ?
|
google "icq history backup" or dump there are some programs.
|
I'm just copy/paste each line. Will update later... ICQ is not very user friendly... went to all the folders ICQ is stored and didn't find it. Oh well... will take 2 or 3 hours
|
10% done. Still copy/paste this shit... ICQ sucks. This goes back some time and sites, from rogue programmer, just registered this year. When I post his name I recommend checking your own stuff online if you ever hired him for work.
|
I'm interested in hearing this. Thats the toughest part of hiring developers... and why its always good to have the developer work on a staging environment rather than the live environment.
|
Name and shame. That's the game...

klaniak is his user ID on ICQ and his ICQ number is 260892954 Other sites that he goes by are this: 24hscripts.com email: [email protected] I hope anybody that gave **** scriptguy **** access to FTP or any other valuable info goes after him as well. |
thats bad , good luck dude
|
24hscripts.com is the DNS for all his sites. But how can I find out the original host for his server?
|

Some domains hosted on the same IP: 24hscripts.com 24hvids.com basicwindspeed.com designwindload.com |
My guess is that it's a throwaway account and he doesn't give a fuck.
Even the most established GFY nicks would probably sell their asshole for $100-$200, so you're pretty much fucked if you think this is going to bring down any kind of heat on the kid. It is important to bring it up, of course. It's easy to build a bit of a name for yourself on the Internet then fuck a bunch of people over, 6 months is a long time in Internet time and a few thousand dollars is an absolute kingdom and goes a looooong fucking way in some 3rd world shitholes. |
Use pidgin instead of the ICQ client, you can just Save As any log, none of the retarded bull shit.

Another godaddy success story: Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for contacting the GoDaddy.com Network Abuse Department. We are not the hosting provider for this site. We are the domain name registrar only. We have neither access to, nor jurisdiction over the content on this site. The web hosting provider for this website is the company responsible for policing this content and is required to respond to Copyright complaints as outlined by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). To determine the web hosting provider, use a publicly-available tool, like http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php. This tool will give you the resolving IP address which can then be compared to ARIN's (http://www.arin.net) IP allocation database. This will give you the relevant information for the true hosting provider. The full text of the DMCA can be viewed at the following site, http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf. Thanks man. I've been up for over 48 hours now trying to get it worked out. Godaddy is a real trip, telling me they don't host sites that they do.
Now I'm waiting for abuse@godaddy to respond and actually do something. Been on the phone with his merchant account as well. |
