I posted in wrong section... here it is again.

Hey GFY, help me out please.

I have a guy from ICQ that was hired to make some programming changes that ripped my database, for a fact, and replicated my sites and is charging for it.

He is a member on gfy and will out him as soon as I take his domains and can get that ICQ log. I can see the convo... it is like 100 lines... I just can't find an easy way to dump it into excel or word.

Any pointers?

AdultKing 03-28-2012 01:12 AM

Should I stick some popcorn in the microwave, or will this take time to gestate ?

DarkJedi 03-28-2012 01:28 AM

what's your ICQ?

porno jew 03-28-2012 01:31 AM

google "icq history backup" or dump there are some programs.

bean-aid 03-28-2012 01:31 AM

I'm just copy/paste each line. Will update later... ICQ is not very user friendly... went to all the folders ICQ is stored and didn't find it. Oh well... will take 2 or 3 hours

bean-aid 03-28-2012 01:50 AM

10% done. Still copy/paste this shit... ICQ sucks. This goes back some time and sites, from rogue programmer, just registered this year. When I post his name I recommend checking your own stuff online if you ever hired him for work.

Sharky 03-28-2012 06:58 AM

I'm interested in hearing this. Thats the toughest part of hiring developers... and why its always good to have the developer work on a staging environment rather than the live environment.

Scott McD 03-28-2012 07:02 AM

Name and shame. That's the game...

Script Guy did some programming work for me back in 2010 and he registered websites that mimick mine in feb of this year. Forgot to add... he downloaded my entire server and set up his own sites with my information and his domain names.

klaniak is his user ID on ICQ and his ICQ number is 260892954

Other sites that he goes by are this:

24hscripts.com
email:
[email protected]

I hope anybody that gave **** scriptguy **** access to FTP or any other valuable info goes after him as well.

ZeroHero 03-28-2012 11:17 AM

thats bad , good luck dude

bean-aid 03-28-2012 11:21 AM

24hscripts.com is the DNS for all his sites. But how can I find out the original host for his server?

2012 03-28-2012 11:29 AM

that sux. did you hire the cheapest programmer you could find ?

Fat Panda 03-28-2012 11:32 AM

that sucks asshole

24hscripts.com is hosted at Godaddy

Some domains hosted on the same IP:

24hscripts.com
24hvids.com
basicwindspeed.com
designwindload.com

alextokyo 03-28-2012 11:41 AM

My guess is that it's a throwaway account and he doesn't give a fuck.

Even the most established GFY nicks would probably sell their asshole for $100-$200, so you're pretty much fucked if you think this is going to bring down any kind of heat on the kid. It is important to bring it up, of course.

It's easy to build a bit of a name for yourself on the Internet then fuck a bunch of people over, 6 months is a long time in Internet time and a few thousand dollars is an absolute kingdom and goes a looooong fucking way in some 3rd world shitholes.

Rothstein 03-28-2012 11:53 AM

Use pidgin instead of the ICQ client, you can just Save As any log, none of the retarded bull shit.

It is registered through godaddy but not hosted there.

from http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php

DNS server handling your query: localhost
DNS server's address: 127.0.0.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: 24hscripts.com
Address: 97.74.119.90

I bet that IP for DNS is for a hosting company that we have all heard of.

Anyone know which host this is?

Thank you :thumbsup

Another godaddy success story:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for contacting the GoDaddy.com Network Abuse Department.

We are not the hosting provider for this site. We are the domain name registrar only. We have neither access to, nor jurisdiction over the content on this site.

The web hosting provider for this website is the company responsible for policing this content and is required to respond to Copyright complaints as outlined by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

To determine the web hosting provider, use a publicly-available tool, like http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php. This tool will give you the resolving IP address which can then be compared to ARIN's (http://www.arin.net) IP allocation database. This will give you the relevant information for the true hosting provider.

The full text of the DMCA can be viewed at the following site, http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf.

Sincerely,
Network Abuse Department

I don't think it was a throw away account.

I think it is main server. His DNS matches his paypal. He made a big no no.

That really sucks Beaner, hope you get everything worked out.

bean-aid 03-29-2012 12:26 AM

Thanks man. I've been up for over 48 hours now trying to get it worked out. Godaddy is a real trip, telling me they don't host sites that they do.

Now I'm waiting for abuse@godaddy to respond and actually do something.

Been on the phone with his merchant account as well.

:thumbsup That email address has been forwarded to my attorney. I'm not going to try to do it myself.
Let me know if you understood what I was saying in the email about 644 permission settings... I was pretty tired when I responded.

Anybody done business with this guy on here?

Klaniak11/16/2010 11:35 AM
paypal, paxum, cashx, western union, wire

I know his paypal, would like to know paxum, cashx, western union and wire information if anybody has sent him money to any of those.
