Angry Birds Space

My kids are off the wall today. Just saw that this was released today. Now I might actually get some peace and quiet today.

I think I might need to use the word today a few more times today.

its amazing how mobile has brought gaming back to silly little games instead of 3d crap they been making.

i applaud the switch. googles app console will change gaming forever and finally take it back from sony and other giants whove ruined gaming by stomping out smaller independent studios, buying them up, closing down etc...

It makes gaming accessible to pretty much anyone. I love that my little ones are able to master games that my parents can barely grasp, and they're neither old nor computer illiterate.

The other day I was looking at some pics on my phone and my two year old saw me using my finger to touch, and reached out and discovered she can move the screen. It was a moment.

Now when she sees my phone she has started to fuss a little. I guess if we don't buy her a tablet in the near future I am fucked. :1orglaugh

I have a nephew hooked on teh angry birds too.

My 2 and 3 year olds have their own modded Nook Color tablets. Refurbed they were $129.

It is amazing what they have learned using them. Memory apps. Flash cards. See and say. Speak and spell. What a great learning tool too.

I'm am surprised that these Nooks have held up. At my house there's always something being thrown. The first one they got is going on 16 months now...not a ding or scratch on em. Knock on wood.

We're big fans of Angry Birds around here, but right now my son is heavy into Roblox.com

Scott McD 03-22-2012 09:03 AM

Games are meant to be fun anyway.

Some of the "big" releases these days are just annoying more than anything... Keep games FUN!

SykkBoy 03-22-2012 09:09 AM

Well, looks like I'll be taking more very long bathroom breaks after today...that's my "bird time" haha
My wife thinks I have really bad intestinal issues, when the truth is I'm trying to finish a level of angry birds...
