This is clicking the trial button next to the vid, not the instant access button in navbar (which allows me to sign up for the trial).

I'm seeing $4.95 trials here in the US.

Edit: It's $24.95 once you hit the join button. No wonder conversions suck so bad lately.

yeah - obviously a fuckup, as clicking the instant access allows the correct trial join. Slow as fuck whenever I email ND support, be handy if someone has a decent contact and can direct them to this thread.
