1. North Korea didn't start 2 wars in the last 22 years.
2. Unlike Iraq, North Korea has power neighbours (S. Korea, China, Japan) that will make North Korea think twice before starting any funny shit in their region

I've only read a couple of news articles, but as I understand it, their plan is basically.....

1) Replace US troops with UN troops which become basically a military government under UN auspices.
2) Saddam goes into exile.
3) Inspectors are tripled.
4) 1/2 a million innocent Iraqi's get to live.
5) xxx number of US troops dont lose their lives.

I think it's a better plan, but I also think it's got squat chance of succeeding.

iraq is gonna reject that plan and that gives germany and france a chance to change their positions on the war.

It's just like 99 in Rambouillet when the Serbs were offered terms that no sovereign country would agree to. Of cause they rejected it and that gave everyone a chance to go to war

A good reason for being against the war is that the US does not have a good solution for what to do after the war.

Who in their right mind thinks that Iraq won't fight back, just because it is UN troops instead of US? The plan is about what happens after the war. It still needs a war, for the UN to take over.
