Going to spend ~$500 for domains renewals and buying some new ones. What's the best option to get it cheaper?

There are not a lot of fresh coupon deals out there lately.
One bit of advice ... organize your purchase according to the coupon/codes used.

Some codes only work on renewals, while others on purchase. Also some only work on .com, and not .org or the foreign TLD. Maximum savings of 30-35% can somethings be had by splitting the order into several.

Join their discount domain club

If you have enough domains in your account, you get an account rep assigned to you.

My account rep sends me renewal deals all the damn time, and lets me know that if i wait, i'll be paying 3-4$ more per domain than I would if I did it 1 month early.

I think they call this the VIP club or something similar.

I wish they offered cheaper private whois. Spending $4 for it kills any discount I could possible get.

I'm fairly sure you get free private whois when you bulk register or join their domain club.

No you don't. Still have to pay, and it's expensive.
